The worst sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was soggy, some ingredients cold some warm, no taste.
Worst summer Rolls ever! You think summer roll should be self contained; think again. The rice paper just fell appart trying to... separate the 2 rolls making this impossible to eat. Got the pork meatball banh mi. Not close to on par with the banh mi places in the lower mainland. They make it with a submarine... bread that isn't toasted. Sauce is from the coleslaw, no pate or the sweet white mayo sauce. Veggies were not the pickledstuff. No hot pepper, limited amount of parsley. The meat isn't the same, as it had the Chinese BBQ type glaze on it. I'll giveit a 2 as it did at least it filled my tummy. Wish it had Vietnamese ice coffee.... Read more
Decided to give this place a try even after reading a couple bad reviews (traveller's are sometimes grumpy), but I should have... listened to them. This was probably one of the worst lunches I've ever paid $30 for. I tried the salad rolls. They were probablymade a day or two prior to me eating them so the rice paper was hard and the lettuce inside was brown and gross. The "peanutsauce" was runny and overall, I'd say they were the worst salad rolls I've ever experienced. I also ordered the coconut chickenbanh mi. Also awful. No coconut whatsoever so not sure why it's called that. The bread was at least a day or two old so itwasn't soft, just chewy. There was nothing on it for flavour. The chicken was boiled and had the white stringy fat on it likewhen you boil chicken. The flavour was mild and underwhelming. It was pretty disappointing to spend $30 on such a meal. I feellike they are only still open because they get one-time traveller's who only have a few options and decide to give it a try. Ifthey had to rely on returning customers, they would have been gone as soon as they opened. Awful overall. If I could I'd sayzero stars. Don't waste your money. The food is great but the service is just sooooo bad. Just so slow (especially when trying to catch a flight) and most annoying... thing is that the menu doesn't tell you anything about what's in the different dishes and when you ask "what is a blazing firebowl or what is blazing noodles" they just say "it's your choice of meat on rice and vegetables " or "your choice of meat onnoodles and vegetables " ummm can I please know like what sauce what vegetables etc? So it's always a guessing game. Read more
