Had lunch here with close friends and hoping to be family soon! Brother and mom of our friend was visiting from Korea. They... decided to have seafood and booked a table for eight at the Blue Canoe restaurant. We ordered the Yacht Size Chilled SeafoodPlatter and a couple of New York Steak and Cobb Salad. Excellent service from the hostess and server! Lovely people. They went above and beyond to provide us with a great experience.... The food was delicious and the sunset view is breathtaking! ???? Well, this was a disappointment. The visit started good with our hostess going out of her way to find us a good table. Then we... became invisible it seems. Our waitress took some time to attend to us. She was curt and cold in her service. Our appetizersand drinks arrived; but never our main course. After 55 minutes, we paid our bill and left. The waitress, who we had notspoken to since ordering, said the "kitchen was behind". The appetizers were mixed with the poutine being fairly good. However, the muscles pot was poor with a number failing to open and dry bread. Poor food and bad service... no excuse and ourlast visit. Shady Island next door has just as good a view and good food with great service. Other spots nearby offer asuperior menu and experience to Blue Canoe. I recommend diners choose carefully. This has been our fave for years and we always choose this one instead of others. Nice view, nice service, nice food and nice... beer. The kitchen is close at 8pm. Make sure you go on time. It may also be understaff here somehow, service is kind of slowtoday, but still good. The good place for gathering, chatting and dinner after work, this is it! Read more

I had a canoe platter. And it’s absolutely disappointing, everything has strong refrigerator taste, and not fresh. I drove 2... hours to here and thought the seafood near the pier would be good and fresh, but it’s obviously not. Look at the shrimp andtuna poke. The crab is watery , soft and snagy. Read more

Decided to pop into the Blue Canoe on a whim one rainy day. We were sat right away right next to the water, under a heater with... a plastic tarp on top to keep us dry. Customer service was wonderful. The food however was quite lacklustre. The seafood chowderwas runny and devoid of flavour; albeit the seafood tasted quite fresh. If you love thick, creamy, and savoury chowder, I do notrecommend the chowder here. The salmon burger was tasteless. The salmon tasted frozen, was dry and needed a lot more seasoning.Perhaps some more salt and pepper… anything? The salad.. was well.. a salad lazily stuffed into a tiny metal bowl. Thecustomer service is a 8/10 and the food is a 5/10 - definitely edible but would not go out of my way to recommend this place toanyone. Read more

The restaurant was busy but service is fast and the waitress was very attentive as well. We got 3 course dinner and it took us... an hour 10 mins from sitting down to leaving. Foods here were delicious, the seafood tasted fresh, small but good portion. Dineout menu has great value. Would highly recommend! Read more
