I was told about this restaurant from a local resident of 30 plus years. I come to Richmond and Vancouver twice a year and enjoy... patronizing a number of mom and pop restaurants. I was quite happy to find the wonton and dumpling lo mein was 10 out of 10. Irequested no oyster sauce since I like my foods with less salt. For the price point, it’s well worth the Chinese pasta withsoup on the side. Enhance flavor with hot sauce for those that like a small kick. The other dishes that my spouse order was ok.I think the restaurant is better know for the wonton, dumpling, congee, and side dishes. I highly recommend coming to doubledouble to enjoy the wonton, dumpling lo mein or in a soup. I plan to return to double double and tsim chai noodlesagain. Check out the photos and the menu. Service isn't that good but the food was pretty good. The Chinese donut with the sugar is good. The waitress recommended a stir... fry noodle with two different types of noodle was delicious! Their beef brisket dishes weren't bad as well. Not sure what thechicken dish was but there is a picture on the wall of it, it's served cold so if you don't like cold chicken don't order it. This restaurant is super popular and very busy and for a very good reason. The fish congee was excellent and paired nicely with... the exra crispy Chinese crueller. The staff are very hardworking and efficient. I would like to go back with my friends andhave none of their congee or try their Teochow pao fan. Read more

It was busy with a bunch of people crowded around the entrance. Tip: Make sure you flag someone down to write your name down... because they won’t voluntarily ask you for it. We ordered the chicken shiitake congee, sweet fried donut and beef rice roll.Congee and donut was good but there are many comparable options out there. Now, I know you don’t go to places like thisexpecting good service but our waitress was rude, got our order wrong and didn’t bring us the correct item until we asked 3times for it. The food in this restaurant is good and the price is reasonable. You can get Hong Kong style traditional breakfast, Congee,... Chinese donuts and fresh made rice rolls . but don’t expect good service, because this restaurant is always busy also theplace is not tidy. I would give it 3.5 Stars. Read more

Dishes came out really fast andhot. Our go to favourite congee is #88 HK Style Sampan & Jelly Fish Congee. Smooth and always flavourful. The second go to dishis #49 Aged Soy Sauce Wings Lo Mein Aged Soy Sauce. You must end your dining experience with the #2 Sweet Chinese Donut. Hotfrom the deep fryer and into your hands. So crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just the right amount ofsweetness. Would not recommend the Cold Lemon Ice Tea. Small for the price and tasted a bit weak. Open kitchen so you can seethem making your dishes. All safety protocols are in place. Cash and debit only.
