Very convenient and nice atmosphere. But, needs attention to detail and higher standard of cleanliness. We were staying at the... hotel right here in the airport. So we were glad to have a good option so close. The place doesn?t open until 5:30pm so wereserved a table and sat at the bar. We ordered some little bites. They were delicious! Once they opened, we were seated rightaway. For just opening, you would expect it to be clean. But the booth had food on it and trash and debris were scatteredaround. It?s a little off putting. Upon seeing the prices, I was definitely unsatisfied with the level of cleanliness. But wentahead and tried to not be so finicky. Our server told us about their oyster special and we excitedly ordered two portions.Placed our drink and mains and waited. It wasn?t very long that she returned to tell us they didn?t have oysters after all.Disappointed barely described our feelings. We hadn?t been able to have oysters for a while and our hopes were up and now theywere very down. Oh well? You would think the kitchen would?ve communicated that to the servers prior to service. We skippedappetizers. Our mains arrived and looked promising. The steaks were fine and the burger passable. But my duck seemed to havegone through the Sahara before dying on my plate. To say it lacked moisture would be putting it nicely. The bone was more ediblethan the meat. I opted to skip to dessert. I was handed an afternoon tea menu?which seemed a little ridiculously priced forwhat you got. But that?s besides the point. At this point, I was giving up on dessert since our server was gone. She came backasking what I would like? ?a dessert menu if you please?. Skipped dessert and went back to our room? Read more

We used Groupon for their high tea set. Good thing it was heavily discounted but seriously for a hotel restaurant, this was not... up to standard. Everything felt it was randomly put together, the flavours don?t work well. The saving grace were the scones, those were really good. Read more

We absolutely love the restaurant at fairmont Globe@YVR, and always make sure to get to airport 3hrs prior to our flights to hit... this spot for a lovely and elegant meal. My kids love the food and we enjoy the drinks and the service quite a bit. The serviceis always great and Juan our Columbian host was fantastic on our last visit in July 2022! Read more

Tried the afternoon tea, not impressed. Honestly for $79/person, I expected more quality. We have tried over 10 afternoon tea... restaurants over the years, the only good one is Urban Tea Merchant in Downtown Vancouver, but it?s closed. The tea here Iwould rate it below average, afternoon tea set is average but if you consider the price, it?s definitely not worth it. Servicewas not bad, but I expected more if it?s under the name of Fairmont. Kid menu is good, my daughter enjoyed thefood. Unfortunately I think the interior of the restaurant is really outdated; the presentation of food needs some improvement;the view of YVR is the only highlight of the experience. I wouldn?t recommend to try the afternoon tea here. Read more

We arrived with a group of five on a busy Saturday night. Once we were seated in the bar/lounge, we were greeted and ordered... quite promptly. Food arrived in a reasonable time. A great dining experience with the mountains and airport as your backdrop,I'm looking forward to coming back Read more

Really nice setting, with views of the coastal mountains, and later the lights on Cypress and other close-in ski hills. It was... busy on this Saturday evening, but the tables are comfortably spaced out. We didn't try any of the mains, but the calamari & dipwas really tasty. Tried the crab bisque, which had a lovely color and consistency, but there was no crab flavor. The Springsalad was lovely. Good wine selection with a few local BC ones on offer. The habanero marguerita was flavorful but could havebeen a touch heavier on the tequila (another 1/2 to 1 oz would have been perfect). Cristinica offered pleasant and attentiveservice. The help with the cost of parking was a nice touch. Read more

Great first visit! Found this place while scrambling around to make last minute reservations for a group. Because it was a group... of 8 or more, we had to go with a group menu of $69/person for a 3 course dinner, with bread to share. I wasn't sure how I feltabout the price, but the food was better than I expected. I wouldn't come here on a regular basis, but it's great for specialoccasion's and/or date night. The tenderloin won me over. Read more
