Delicious food as expected and exceptional without a hitch. Enjoyed our meal immensely. Our Server’s attitude to be desired.... She seems really experienced such as taking orders and serving however lacks the warm personality. Cold and robotic.. Perhapsmaking small talk might be encouraged to make customers feel comfortable eating at a well established steakhouse. Very efficientin clearing tables quickly(slowing down a little might be good too), appears confident with how to carry out her job and withher presentation. Smiling would definitely would break the ice and toning a notch down when talking with colleagues. It is arestaurant after all and not a food court. I like to enjoy my paid dinning experience otherwise I would have stayed home. Ifeel that providing useful Feedback is necessary to help bring awareness on ways to improve one’s current skills and workethics especially in the hospitality field and to help enhance the image of the restaurant with creating a positive experiencefor the next customer. Went here for my brother's birthday as we do every year. My brother loves their ice cream pie here so had to come back. We had... many appetitizers and entrees which all was well seasoned and presented well. The waiter was excellent and made sure sure wewere all helped and served properly. Believe his name was Robert was extremely well presented and able to provide amazingservice ???? Would book ahead of time for any holidays or a large party. I use to come to The Keg a lot more but unfortunately the prices have made it to the point where I can't justify eating here.... Including drinks and tip, our bill was almost $180 for 2 people. The service was great, but the food was not what I expectedfor the price I paid. The salmon was a bit overdone making it a little dry and the steak was on the chewy side. It was also abit too salty for my liking. Chefs need to realize that salt does not equal flavor. The Keg is magical! There is something about the ambiance, hearty food, great service, and it's real vibes that just makes... dining there so satisfying and a modern classic. The summer lobster special was amazing! Sweet crispy lobster dipped in lemonand butter was pure satisfaction. Their table bread is served hot so the cheesy butter just melts on it. The Billy Miner pie isso good too. Actually, I have not had anything from the Keg that did not taste great. They are definitely doing something right.Plus they have a 24 Oz Omega steak. The Keg used to be my favorite restaurant, I used to love this place and every time if any of my family members having a... birthday, we will bring them here. But with that kind of service, I would not go back anymore, , , I booked the table andmentioned it was my birthday. When we arrived and the reception checked the booking name, they already know that this is mybirthday. The waitress in Richmond South was absolutely not professional: she makes us feel she is rush, she has not much timeto serve us, we haven't finish ordering and she walks away, she makes us feel she didn't welcome us, we were bothering her. shemakes us feel like not a upscale service, more like a coffee shop, Even my birthday was not acknowledge and no cake. Good food and great service on a somewhat busy night. Nobody at the host station upon arrival. Waiting a couple minutes and a... couple of servers passed without acknowledging us. When the one server who did acknowledge us turned out to be a great server!Robert was one of the ones who walked by earlier but came by again when he saw we were still standing there. He sat us in hissection and for the remainder of dinner, he gave us terrific service. Coming by to check in first bites, refilling waters(without our needing to ask) and check for taking away dishes when we were done (and not before then). All without our need toflag him down. That's great service! The steak was good as per my expectation of Keg standard. I could not help but notice whatI think is probably shrinkage of the times as last I went to Keg was pre-pandemic. However, I was still full after the meal, somaybe it was an act of right-sizing. To note, we did arrive hungry after a bit of Costco shopping so it was rather late alreadyas we came here when most places were closed already. Plenty of free parking in their lot. Overall experience was just okay. For the price we paid, I would not go back again… The Keg used to be my favourite... restaurant. Not anymore… Our waiter was absolutely amazing but the food was not great at all. I used to love their bread butnot anymore. Hard to cut, and tasted nothing special. It used to be so nice and moist. With their special butter, I used to eattoo much of it! Sadly, i only had a bite this time. Brie was just okay, nothing fancy, nothing more. It was a mediocre. Greensalad was just okay. Too oily. Pepper was cut too big and not much cucumbers and tomatoes. The prime rib itself was deliciousbut onions and mashed potatoes were just okay… The chicken and ribs were good but chicken was a bit dry… I mean, i wasdisappointed because it felt like i was eating everyday regular food.
