Food was spectacular! Living in Richmond for almost 10 years I'm surprised I have never given this Tsukiji a try. Their mentaiko... yaki udon is forever engraved in my heart, I highly recommend. The meal was worth every penny! Unfortunately for my first timealthough we made reservations, when we arrived they told us they were giving us a table that was needed back within 1.5 hours. The way it was approached seemed like they forgot our reservation and had to give us a table that was for someone else. While weate we knew around 1 hr someone arrived for the table which made us feel bad and more rushed. I recommend if you're looking for2 hours to confirm in advance. However due to my love of the amazing quality of the food I still give this restaurant 5 stars???? as the staff was overall friendly. Read more

I came here for dinner recently. The restaurant's atmosphere and service were good. In terms of food, I tried the Soft Shell... Crab, Otoro Sashimi, Madai (Half a fish: Multiple courses/items) , Deluxe Aburi Sushi Set, and Green Tea Ice Cream. For the SoftShell Crab, there were two nice and crispy crabs and it?s definitely worth trying. The Otoro were pretty good cuts and fresh forCanada. The Madai came in several dishes: Sashimi, Thin pieces sashimi, Tataki, Aburi, Robata, and Soup. Overall, it feltsimilar to (but better than) the typical snapper. The sashimi was good as it was crunchy and had a fresh/clean taste. Thethinner pieces were good as well as it felt lighter and more comfortable to eat. The tataki was pretty good. The madai aburi wasthe favourite as it had a good balance of ingredients and flavour. The option of having the collar/head as robata was good as itwas nicely grilled and it added another layer to the meal. Also, the fish bone soup was also quite comforting. The Deluxe AburiSushi Set was good as well. There was Foie Gras, Ebi, Scallop, (King) Salmon, and 1-2 other fish for the set. Finally, the icecream was quite good as it was not too sweet and had a nice green tea flavour. Read more

Came last minute on a weekday evening! Staff is super friendly and welcoming. We ordered the staff recommendation of $140... combo- the fish is served 6 ways (sashimi 3 ways, aburi, soup, baked cheese)! It was totally worth it and super delicious???????? you can also add udon or fish noodles to the soup, which we did! We also ordered the aburi set - it was super good andnot too overwhelming with rice which I appreciate! The Hokkaido uni ($60 / 3 piece) was average but not bad ???? All in all-it was a filling meal and we enjoyed the service / food ?????? would definitely come back! Read more

Came here with a friend in the afternoon on a weekend. Was quite busy but didn't have troubles getting a seat. You give your... license plate number to the front desk for free 3 hour parking. Ordered the daily sashimi, a roll, chicken skewer and an udondish. And oh my lord Jesus Christ was the sashimi expensive. If you go with the daily sashimi, you'll be asked to pick whichfish you want. I paid about $100 for that one giant bowl of ice and sashimi. A BOWL OF ICE AND A FEW SLIDES OF FISH FOR $100. Ifyou want sashimi, just get the assorted sashimi dish for like $46. Honestly this place isn't super expensive if you don't ordersashimi. Everything else is pretty reasonably priced. Chicken skewers didn't have much flavour, udon and roll was pretty goodthough. They also give you free ice cream in the end so that's a plus. I mean, the bill was $160 so I better get some free icecream. Anyways, pretty good meal, would come again but not order the daily sashimi unless it's for a special event. Read more

Was in Vancouver, and decide to have dinner at this place. The sushi was very fresh. They do have lots of daily special... catches, but we didn't order becuase it was just the two of us. We did order their soup in the little tea pot, Hamachi sushimi,a fish, and some side dishes. Sushi is very fresh and the food was great. Love the complimentary ice-cream at the end and makesure you ask for red bean with it. Price is $$$$, so prepare to break the bank a bit. Read more
