My wife and I stopped in on a whim and to support a small local business. As soon as we walked in the waitress approached us... like she knew us so we felt welcome in a new place. Normally this can be a bit uncomfortable but we fell right in because youcould tell they wanted us there. As soon as we were seated we had drinks and menus in hand and the waitress stayed close by andwaited for us to be ready to order without constantly asking us about it so we were able to discuss our choices withoutinterruption. I ordered a veggie omelette with home fries and my wife had pancakes, bacon, and eggs. First off all the foodwas prepared exactly as it should be. The Bacon wasn't overcooked and the eggs were the exact definition of over easy and thepancakes weren't doughy and under cooked like some places do the omelette looked impressive in both size and appearance andthe home fries were cooked perfect. My omelette had a great taste and texture. The cheese was perfectly "goopy" inside andmaintained it's meltiness the whole time and the other ingredients really worked together. It was easily the best veggieomelette I've ever had. The waitress kept an eye on us and only visited the table when we looked low on drinks or it appearedwe might actually need something. The only exception was after we took our first bites she asked if everything tasted good. Sowe were able to enjoy our breakfast and our conversation without being interrupted every 5 minutes. She stayed close and if weneeded her for extra condiments or anything else she would get them as soon as we asked. Everything was pretty quick for a sitdown dining experience without sacrificing quality. And the price was less than many places I've been especially when youconsider the ample portion sizes. I've actually paid more for much less at other places. I have driven past here many times and often wondered what it was like. Since I was on vacation and needed a picture for my... restaurant app, I decided to give it try. I ordered the Country Fried Steak Sandwich, Potato Chips, and Diet Coke. I have hadcountry fried steak many times, but never in a sandwich. It was delicious. The waitress was very nice. I assume she wasJoann! The restaurant was very clean, nicely decorated, and a good place to go for a home cooked meal. I highly recommend it,and I definitely will be back! Read more
Shut the Door!! This place is absolutely amazing and is way worth coming off the interstate. Michelle is way awesome and makes... you feel at home. We had the Pork Chop Special and couldn?t be more happy with it. Even the Grilled Cheese tasted amazing assimple as that can be. Do yourself a favor and stop. Read more
