When we visit places we always find a local spot and Ullerys didn't disappoint. Both homemade waffle cones/bowls and ice cream... intrigued us first. We were planning on grabbing ice cream and heading back to our campsite. However, when we got our sundaesthat wasn't an option. They are so big. Also, make sure you get any ice cream in a waffle cone or bowl because they're homemadeand delicious! The Java ice cream was delicious if you enjoy coffee. My husband got the Richie Rich sundae. If you like ReeseCups it's definitely something you'll love. I chose the Meltdown Sundae and even though they were out of the white chocolate icecream it was still delicious with just the sea salt caramel. It was huge and so good as well. We also love that they haveseating inside or the alley with a service window there too. We chose to go in to see the offerings and the gals who wereworking were super nice. I did not have a good experience here. I went with my son and sister to meet one of her friends. It was around the fourth of... July. The ice cream was watery and barely had any flavor. It was also frost bitten so that really didn't help.The olderemployees acted like it was a bother to serve me but the younger employee was actually polite. I definitely wouldn't go back. Idon't like paying for icicles in a cup and being given dirty glares the entire time. Read more
TRY THE WAFFLE CONES! My wife and I were heading home to Dayton from Indianapolis, and did a quick search for ice cream along... the way. This is an incredibly cute little ice cream parlor located in an odd little part of historic Richmond. When we walkedin the front door, the smell of freshly made waffle cones hit us. I got the Black Cherry ice cream, and my wife got theRaspberry Sherbet. These homemade ice creams were amazing, but the bonus was the waffle cones. Such wonderful flavor! Read more
