This is breaking my heart to post, because I have loved Khin's for years. Something has changed and it's not like it used to be.... I've had hit-or-miss luck in the past, but this is pretty egregious. I know this avocado didn't turn brown in the 15 minutes ittook to drive home. I also ordered a tempura shrimp, and as I walked away from the counter, I saw next to the counter a wholebox of discarded packaging for tempura shrimp from the frozen food section. The ones with the red label - can't remember thebrand. They're clearly not making the shrimp themselves. I've never posted a bad review of a restaurant- I just won't go back -but this one hurts because I've loved Khin's for a long time. Read more
I have been going to Khin?s for the past 7 years. Ever since the pandemic started something happened. Their sushi quality has... declined tremendously. Every single time I get a roll I try to say ?Oh well maybe this time will be different? because I lovethis place so much. However, the rice recipe is different, the rolls fall apart, the fish seems to not be fresh. I literally gota scrape of wasabi & 1 little slice of ginger. I remember when the tuna used to be the deep red color it should be. Every time Iget it it?s just a weird blue-ish color. I?m truly sad. The owners are sweet & all but they get a lot of business (or so itseems) and I?m trying to understand why the need to cut corners and the quality of the recipe. I?d rather have to pay more for aroll and have the same awesome Khin?s taste than pay the same price for a terrible sushi roll. I have been going to Khins for years and I still maintain that you will be hard-pressed to find anything better and at a better... value for your money! Their sushi is seriously the best. I especially love the tempura shrimp roll. Plus how could you not loveall the free pop? (pay with cash, though, otherwise they charge $0.50 per drink....which, let's just be honest, is still asteal). The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. My husband and I get sushi from here several times a month,at least. It really is the best! Read more
This is my favorite place! I go here more than I probably should lol but I absolutely love it. There's a wide selection and you... get a lot for your money! You also get 2 free drinks if you pay with cash. The owners are super sweet and the food is usuallyready very quickly but still fresh! I usually get the cream cheese salmon roll but I've tried multiple menu items and they'reall delicious. Read more
UPDATE: 3/5/22 I wish they would stop using styrofoam! Plastic is just as good and doesn't last forever! I got an avocado and... eel roll with no cucumbers I don't know what the sauce was but it was pretty good. This place is No Frill just Sushi and Maki.He said they do have a deep-fried roll that's not on the menu. I look forward to trying that ???? also there's a little surprisewhen you pay cash ???? We tried several types of sushi and they all were delicious. The egg rolls were very good as well. It isn?t the perfect dining... environment-more like a store, but great prices and service! Read more
Wow! This food is amazing. I have to say that I'm not a huge sushi person but was craving something different than normal fast... food. I called and ordered my food and it was ready very quickly. Way faster than sitting in a McDonald's drive thru. Thestaff was very friendly even though my knowledge of sushi isn't the best and I'm sure I didn't call the sushi by the correctnames. The food here is absolutely amazing ????! I will definitely be back! Here's a picture of the food after I accidentallypicked the box up sideways. Very large portions and a wide variety of drinks!
