The Mac and cheese and balsamic brussel sprouts are so, so good. I know it's mainly a bar but man the cook is doing miracles... back there. The bartender was so patient with me (I don't drink much at all but I like tequila) so he walked me through what Iwould like in a mixed drink. It's a Richmond institution. What else is there to say? I go there all the time and I've been going there since I was of legal... drinking age. One of my friends is a waitress there. The food is surprisingly good. I love the cheeseburger with fries.Sometimes I'll substitute a house salad. The dinner specials can also be excellent such as the lamb chops or rockfish. Orsalmon. The calamari is above-average. I've kind of been on a classic cocktail kick lately and they make one of the bestSidecars in town. Normally the place is packed even on off nights. It used to be famous for having the latest last call in thecity. Often there is an uproarious din from all the conversations going on.
