I ordered a Sheila Scramble with bacon, mushrooms and cheese. It comes with choices. Mine was two biscuits and home fries and I... added sausage gravy on the side. The scramble was perfect with a generous supply of mushrooms and bacon worked in. The cheeserather cooked itself into the 3 eggs but I tasted them. The home fries (slices) were fried to a golden brown and the biscuitswere firm on the outside with a soft flaky center. What I was most impressed with about this place is how hard the serverswork. My coffee was refilled at least 4 times within a half hour as these ladies buzzed around the floor like bees making sureeach patron was attended to. That is another thing. This was morning around 7:30. The place wasn't packed but there was a goodsized crowd amassed on a random Friday. No one that I could tell had to wait for anything. My food came about 10 minutes afterordering and when I was handed my check I was told 'no rush'. The decor is simple and basic. There are some wooden booths alongthe wall but most of the seating is tables and chairs. There isn't much in the way of ambience besides the humanity whichfrequents this place. And, that is just fine. I was very pleasantly surprised by McLean's and I intend to return. Read more

Well all the locals know what to expect from Mcleans, and it always delivers. No exception today, the food and the service was... outstanding. Our server Ashley R. was so pleasant and attentive. She was very patient with me while I caught up with my adultson, no pressure and refills. The scrapple is to die for, but we didn't leave a thing! Ok. This my first time being at this location. Me and my hubby went to get brunch. Nice set up inside. Parking tight. The... pancakes I ordered ( not a breakfast eater but love pancakes) well, the pancakes taste like cake batter and was not cooked allthe way thru, it was pasty and gummy in the middle it fell apart as you cut . To the owner just a tip from a pancakes lover. Pls just use regular pancakes batter . The batter you used was too sweet and tastes like cake batter! Ok now, my hubby had thepork chops platter w/ fried potatoes ,eggs and bacon he didn't like it . The chops were cooked to hard and dry, potatoes tastedbland , eggs ok, bacon it's was ok too. Upon arrival I saw that there was a little wait so I went to the bar where there was open seating first come first serve. Once I... said down the waitress Miranda came right over to greet me and gave me a menu. She answered all the questions that I hadconcerning the new menu and certain new menu items. Once I placed my order my food came out in a timely fashion just as I hadrequested. The food was absolutely amazing! Miranda came back periodically to check on me to make sure that I was okay. Food was delicious. Catfish was the best I've had in awhile!!. Place was packed, so service was a little slower than usual, but... well worth the wait. Cook rushed with cooking and fried potatoes were cold and under cooked. My son piece of catfish wasundercooked, but he was brought another piece that was perfect! Read more
