Long overdue review for Pizza Bones, but had to get on here to share my glowing, overwhelming love for them due to their truly... extraordinary pizza!!!! Okay, so if you're a fan of delicious crust (CHECK!), insanely flavorful cheese (CAN CONFIRM!), and thensome really creative flavor combos with their specials (YAAAAS) then Pizza Bones is for you. Their cheese pizza deserves atrophy because it is truly a work of art. They posted a video once of how they layer the cheese / flavors together, and you can100000% tell as it is such a flavor blast for what is seemingly such a simple pizza. I'm also a big pepperoni lady, and theyhave some seriously tasty pepperoni. On top of having delicious pizza, they also have a cutie wine shop, host some amazingdinners and events, are run by a truly lovely and wonderful staff - seriously such a gem in the area and one of my favoritespots. If you haven't been here, do yourself a favor and GO NOW. (also, very important PSA, get their CHOCOLATE CHIPCOOKIESSSSS) Read more

The pizza shop of my dreams ????! I was worried about finding decent pizza when I moved to Richmond, and it was a bit of a... desert until Pizza Bones came around. Their sourdough crust is just the right mix of chewy and crusty, the specials are reallycreative, and everything always tastes super fresh and flavorful (down to the red sauce!). The shop has such a cute, chillvibe, and I love that there?s a natural wine bottle shop right there to grab something to drink while you?re eating there ortake with you on the way out. The staff at Pizza Bones has introduced me to SO many amazing wines that I wouldn?t have known totry otherwise. PS - GET THE COOKIE! Read more

Pizza Bones is amazing! The special pizzas are always delicious and bring fresher ideas to the table than any pizza place I?ve... ever been to. The staff is absolutely awesome and genuinely care about creating a friendly welcoming environment. If you arelooking for a well crafted cheese or pepperoni pizza or something a good bit more creative you should absolutely drop in, alsograb a bottle of wine to go along with the pie. Read more

Soggy pizza. They are either not drying their mozzarella (also it?s poor quality) or the sauce and veggies are way too wet. The... pizza slice just collapsed in the hand and all the cheese fell off. The crust was actually good. Friendly service. Cool outdoorseating are. Read more

The pizza was entirely too greasy and salty- I ordered the pepperoni. I used a paper towel to absorb the grease but as you can... see in the photos the pizza is still oozing grease. As nice as the staff is and convenience of location, my LDL level and BPvital can?t withstand this attack. Chianti?s remains my favorite pizza spot in Richmond. Read more

The pizza here is absolutely delicious. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Currently only outdoor seating and to go... options. It's a very chill outdoor seating atmosphere with picnic tables and bistro lights. Very pretty at night with thelights. You can order wine by the bottle or glass. There is an uncorking fee if you buy a bottle. Great spot in Church Hill! Read more

I had high hopes for Pizza Bones but was a little let down. The biggest positive was the patio seating with seasonal decor. As... for the pizza, the two we ordered both were lacking. I don?t mind a thin crust pizza, but this crust was bordering on too thin-which made the specialty white pizza soggy since it couldn?t bear the weight or water content of the mushrooms. On the otherhand, our pepperoni pizza was too charred in the bottom and too salty for my liking. With so many other pizzas in town, I don?tknow that I?ll return. Read more
