Went here with my husband for our 3rd wedding anniversary tonight and we LOVED it. Everything was seasoned well and came out... hot. I didn’t have a favorite everything was great. HOWEVER. Be mindful a 15% Gratuity is included in your bill this is notmentioned anywhere on the menu etc and they don’t tell you. The staff was great but if I knew gratuity was included I wouldnot have added so much of an extra tip on top of that. But 10/10 would recommend for food and vibes Read more
So, so good!! We came for my brother's birthday and we made reservations before hand. They were very busy, but we were... acknowledged quickly and seated. Our experience was a wholesome one, the atmosphere is incredible, and our waitress wastop-notch. Once we ordered, we were brought corn muffins with melted butter which were out of this world. My brother got porkchops and I got shrimp and grits, which may have honestly been the best shrimp and grits I have EVER had. My mom loved her sidesbut was not particularly a fan of the chicken fried chicken. Our waitress immediately came to the rescue and rectified thesituation despite our protests! My mom instead ordered the fried whiting. It was very tasty, though there were quite a fewbones!! So be careful if you are not accustomed to eating this type of fish. Had lunch with family. Staff were welcoming as soon as we entered. Everyone is required to have a reservation so we were seated... without wait. The restaurant has a nice blues theme decor with music. The yams and cornbread muffins were my favorite. My motherreported the pork chops were seasoned perfectly. Great ambiance! Very friendly and patient staff (as I did not know what I wanted to order). The bathroom at an establishment can... make or break my reviews but this bathroom was spotless, stocked with soap and paper towels and smelled like fresh lavender????. The decor.....So Chic. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of my meal (take out) but trust me....It was DELICIOUS ????I ordered fish (fried hard) green beans and cabbage. Definitely worth all the hype given. The food the atmosphere the service was all magnificent. Love the music selection as... well. The catfish bites and dipping sauce was really good. I had the fried whiting and shrimp combo with green beans and Mac.All were good but the green beans were lacking a little seasoning. My colleague made reservations for 12 PM on a Sunday. We got there a little early, so we chatted for a bit.. We were invited to... come on in at 12 on the dot and we were immediately seated. The staff was amazing and our server Jay did a great job. Therestaurant may be a family owned business and it seemed like all the employees were family. The ambiance was ????????… I wasso fascinated with the decor in the bathroom. Overall great experience. I had a few drinks and the food was great. I came here with my family months ago and loved the food and experience. I live a little over 1.5 hours away so i can't make it... out here more often. I had the chance to return this weekend! We received great service and the food was amazing! yes, they doadd in the tip however our service was great and we added additional tip onto it! MUST GO HERE! Ok so this place is booked and busy! I loved it here. My friend and I met here for restaurant week and I’m glad... we did. The food was awesome… the catfish bites - A1, the fried okra - A1, the pork chops - A1… just everything. Oh and thedrinks were strong & tasty. Our waitress was Jameka and man she was a doll! First of all her voice reminded me of Michel’le(look her up), we pretty much kept making her talk just to hear it lol. She provided the best service!
