Delightful as always at Stella’s! The oysters Corfu is a must try (and I’m rather a raw oyster fan, not cooked, but these... were delicious!), flaming saganaki (I tried the current special with balsamic-soaked figs) and my favorite, moussaka. I’ve been wanting to go to Stella for months but keep forgetting to make reservation. I hear it can take several months to get... a reservation. We decided to go right at five to see if we could get a table we were offered three options of the bar the commontable or a table that had to be vacated by a certain time. This little Greek gem is worth the reservation. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The bread and oil was a great... starter. The lamb meatballs were moist and tasty. The most consistently excellent restaurant I've been to in Richmond. Stellas is a gem in terms of quality of food, portion, and... service. Reservations are a must on weekends. Our server was professional, attentive, and personable. In fact the entire staffworked together as a well oiled machine. Ordered the flaming cheese and oysters special for appetizer. The cheese was excellentbut the oysters were so small you couldn't taste them for the topping. Our server quickly removed the dish and asked if wewanted anything else. Next the village salad (salad pic is after eating a portion). Chunks of feta, tomato, cucumber, and oliveperfectly blended with oil and vinegar dressing. The main course was leg of lamb with oven potatoes and another got the chickensouvlaki with potatoe wedges. The lamb and potatoes were tender and cooked to perfection. Likewise with the souvlaki. Portionsare large so be prepared to take home leftovers. Perfect ending the meal was dessert. I got the rice pudding while another thechocolate mousse pie with sour cherries. We got the cherries on the side not knowing if we would like combination but it workedbeautifully. The pudding was creamy with cinnamon sprinkled on top. One of the finest dining experiences in RVA. Super classy without being stuck up. The food is always delicious, and well worth... the price as the entrees can feed 3 people easily. Wonderful wine selection, servers are incredibly attentive, and the decor isreally homey. It is super hard to get a reservation here so make sure you call far in advance! The only critique I have is thatthere is a limited number of vegetarian entree dishes, maybe throwing one or two more would be nice. Read more

6 of my best friends and I celebrated my continuing birthday celebration at Stella's Saturday evening. We had everything from... appetizers to cocktails and dessert I work right pleased with all of us elections. It was recommended by a couple of people andthis is my first opportunity going even though I am a lifetime Richmond resident. Excellent food and Darin, our server wasabsolutely wonderful.
