We had brunch at The Boathouse Sunday after my daughters wedding. We had called a week ahead and told them we would be there... with 25 people. I have worked in restaurants for many years, and I know how chaotic a party that size could be, especially whenthe checks were divided between guests. Jared was our server and he was amazing and handled our huge, loud, rambunctious groupwith ease and humor…and a lot of patience????. He and the other staff were attentive and enjoyable. The food wasoutstanding, and timely even with our huge group. Jared made great suggestions and everyone was happy and full when weleft. That was the last thing that our wedding group did together, many of the people were leaving to go home after our brunch, and it was really the perfect place to say farewell. Thank you so much to The Boathouse management and staff. We will be back! Read more

My husband and I decided to come to the Boathouse to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. The aesthetic is absolutely... stunning, giving an elevated yacht club atmosphere. Our waiter, Kamari, was beyond helpful and made our first time experienceperfection! I highly recommend the “Strawberry Patch” cocktail; very refreshing! We will most definitely be dining again! Cassandra at the Boathouse was an exceptional server. Though there was an issue with one of the entrees, she promptly made sure... there was a replacement on the way and was empathetic of the mistake. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything weneeded. The team made everything right and I would highly recommend Cassandra and the management at Boathouse! They made mybirthday dinner very special. Read more

Went here for their special Easter brunch buffet. It was around 1PM on Sunday. We didn’t have reservations so they said the... wait time was about 1 hour. Luckily there was plenty of seating at the bar area so we sat there. Their brunch was tasty andplentiful. There was a table where they cut you slices of meat, and where they made you an omelette on the spot. Our serverswere the bar tenders and they were fantastic. Mags was very friendly and helpful! She let us know that they had a dessert tablewhich we almost missed. She answered all our questions and was really nice. The other bar staff also went out of their way toassist us. Had a lovely time. This was my first time at this location and in general The Boarhouse doesn't disappoint! They have contactless ordering and... everything is done through kiosk at your table from ordering to paying your bill. It's a pretty efficient system and very easyto use. For those less technologically inclined, your writer will take your order. My only gripe was that the manager was veryselective in approaching tables and asking people how was their meal considering it was pretty empty that day for dinner. Read more

Had a great first experience at the Boathouse. Jared was our server and it looks like he has several reviews talking about how... good of a service he’s provided, now including us! He went over the menu extensively and took his time in answering all of thequestions we had. We ordered a chicken dish, steak, and an apple cobbler for dessert which all tasted fantastic. We were alsoimpressed with the speed of service since we tend to get unlucky with waiting long for food to arrive to our table. Everythingfrom the mashed potatoes to the asparagus to the chicken/steak was delicious and the apple cobbler in the end was to die for andwas the perfect cap to the already amazing dinner. You will order from your phone by scanning a QR code. I did like this partin that it was easier to order and pay through my phone than going back and forth with our server. Just be mindful that therestaurant charges a mandatory 20% service charge and you have the option to tip more if you feel that you’ve receivedexcellent service. There is a memo that outlines how all of this works on each table. It’s definitely a bit of a splurge forus (paid around $100 for just two dishes plus dessert and no alcoholic beverages) so we will be back when we decide to treatourselves again! Read more

This place was good. Love this new location. Been going to The Boathouse for a few years now, I’ve always gone to the Sunday... Park location so I was excited to dine at the Short Pump location. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing! We started offwith a dozen and a half oysters accompanied with really good Moscow mules, and vodka oyster shooters. Very nice way to start theevening. Our main course was just as good as the starters. The service was not bad, all the ordering is done with a QR code menunow which is different for me. Once you are seated you scan the code put in your name and then browse the menu and you add whatyou want to your cart and click order and that’s it. If you want anything else you just go back to your phone and add more toyour tables cart and click order. You pretty much do everything your self. All our sever did was say hello, give us water andthat was it didn’t see him much after. The QR code thing is cool, I like this idea however for my parents who are not techsavvy it would have been difficult for them to order if it was just them dining. Also due to this type of service we feel likeour server wasn’t really around much. Since all ordering and stuff is all done by you on your phone. We didn’t even need tosee our server to pay the bill it’s all done on your phone. Not much personal face to face human interaction with your server. Also Gratuity is also added to each table and no tipping is needed. Again cool idea for the servers to make money however againwe feel that due to this “guaranteed” gratuity we feel like our server was not as attentive to our table and our needs, andwas MIA a lot. I feel like when the servers have to actually work for the tips they are more in tune with the table and theguests needs, because the good service they provide depends on how well the dining experience we have is, and the tip. Our severnot once cleared our table and it was the hostess that did that. So other than that, everything’s else was Read more
