Drinks are fabulous. Food is super good. Love the ambiance. bartenders r super nice. If ur in the area, stop in for a bite.... Drinks are half the price of normal places. Go see Paulina and get your drink on. This was from noon to 2pm. Enjoy! Also I wentback at shift change, say 6pm and they were packed, did not stay. But I'll go back in the daytime. Came here for brunch because the menu looked great and some different flavors. Took a while for our server to get to our table;... then when we returned her question with “doing well, how are you” she seemed underwhelmed and said “….managing Iguess”. That should have been our first sign to turn away, but we all have rough days. She brought back water but seemed verypreoccupied. We ordered the Chesapeake omelette and the Pulled Pork Benedict. Took around an hour to get our food and she made acouple comments about how “the other food before yours is up; but yours hasn’t been put out yet” and “I’m going tocheck on your food, it should have come out a while ago”. Places get backed up, I’ve worked in the industry, but it wasdefinitely a bit odd. We received our food and there was absolutely zero flavor. The textures were present but the pork was dryand unseasoned; the sriracha hollandaise had no heat, and the egg was over cooked and rubbery, like a marshmallow. Had tonearly drown my hash browns in salt and pepper. The biscuit (even though it stated it was suppose to be on an English muffin),was tough and overcooked. I wanted to believe that maybe I had just made a bad choice of dish; until my friend mentioned herswas awful as well and didn’t have any flavor and seemed dry. Tried a bit of her Chesapeake omelette and the only notable tastewas the onion, which was barely cooked and crunchy. The crab and shrimp tasted old and bland. $50 wasted unfortunately. Visiting from New Jersey with my 17yr old daughter for a field hockey tournament. We were looking for good food with gluten-free... options in the area of our hotel. Found Toast on google and checked out the menu to see it had a bunch of GF options. Uponarrival, the hostess immediately seated us in a nice spacious booth. The waitress quickly came over with water and answered somequestions we had about the menu. The atmosphere was relaxed, not too loud yet plenty of people and an all-around cool vibe. Mydaughter ordered a burger, which she loved and it came with sweet potato tater tots (whatttttt!!!) which she is still talkingabout today! I ordered the dynamite shrimp, which was made gluten-free and was superb quality and very nicely garnished. I alsoordered the turkey avocado sandwich on gluten-free bread, which was amazing and it came with sweet potato tots which were(insert mind-blown emoji here) mind-blowing. Lastly, there is no truer test (in my opinion) of a great bar than how theyconcoct a simple, but classic bourbon cocktail... the Manhattan. Toast did their job here! The ingredients were spot on, theprocedures were in place and the presentation was correct. If I wasn't driving, I would have had a few more! I am not sure howthis place has only a 4.4-star rating, it's 100% at least a 5-star place. I am fortunate to live in an area that has a ton ofgreat food and I can wholeheartedly say that if Toast was located at the Jersey Shore, I would be there at least once per week. Read more
