Went for a birthday. Irene seated us and came around to check we were good the entire dinner. Karen was our server and was very... attentive and has such good memory. We would forget what we liked but she would remember for us. They had fresh watermelonjuice. My favorite was the intestines. Read more

It was a truly a surprise that I found out this place on Google Map. Came here for dinner and I must say that from the service... to the quality and quantity of food is just incredible amazing. The staffs really look after us and keep checking if weanything. The meat are very fresh and you can really taste the difference compared to other BBQ places in Toronto. The onlydownside about this place is that if I keep coming here I will definitely be overweight soon LOL Read more

Fun place for Japanese ayce BBQ. It gets quite busy so you'll need reservations for weekends. The various marinated meats are... all quite good. I think they have less sugar than Korean BBQ so they tend to not burn as easily. The intestines and galbi ribsare especially good. The dessert options are melona bars or soft serve. The soft serve trends to melt quickly in the heat soyou'll have to eat fast! They only take cash or debit so keep that in mind. Read more

Amazing customer service. Front desk receptionist was super accommodating. We went there with no reservation and the front desk... found us a spot at the closest available time. We had to wait around 10 minutes, but that wasn't an issue. When we ordered ourfood, the servers were really fast and efficient with it. Despite the place being jam packed that night. The staff were verypolite. I love the ambience of the place and the temperature inside is just the right amount. The cleanliness of theestablishment was also superb. Our table was neat and clean. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family. Read more

Went at opening for lunch, ordered everything on the beef and pork menu. Nice thin slices and decent marbling. My personal... favourite was the black pepper short rib strips. The marinade was savory, fragrant, and sweet; and the peppercorn dissolves inyour mouth when you bite into it. Staff were very friendly and attentive which helped contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. While food is good I would say it's overhyped. A safe choice for decent Japanese BBQ. Read more

Shinta is the place to experience quality Japanese BBQ with a fixing of premium Wagyu beef. The hard decision was whether to... upgrade to Wagyu AYCE but we opted for the regular Black Angus menu along with an extra Wagyu order à la carte. The star ofthe show is prime kalbi short rib: sliced, well-marinated and decently marbled. A short time on the grill atop the BBQ flame isall that's needed. It tasted somewhat comparable to zabuton cuts of US gold grade Wagyu (crossbreed) that we tried, which werebuttery moist with flavour akin to Angus beef. Also on the menu: thin cut beef tongue, toro beef, braised short rib topped withcheese, and sweet lemongrass pork loin steak were worth a taste too. Shinta has a variety of other menu items to keep thingsinteresting other than grilled vegetables. Clams in sake and cheesy butter corn both have a delectable sweet aftertaste asappetizers. The takoyaki balls may not be authentic without bonito flakes but were satisfying enough for seconds. Deep friedbuns with condensed milk were surprisingly delicious. Service started well between the supervisor and our waiter Harry who wereboth attentive and helpful. But a few items (e.g. squid and enoki mushroom) didn't show up from the kitchen and eventually theother waiters seemed a bit overwhelmed by the busy lunch. There is a 2-hr dine-in limit which didn't seem strictly enforced.Only so much greasy goodness that one can eat anyways. Standard weekday AYCE is the Black Angus, and there are more premiumSilver / Gold Wagyu menus. There was also an early bird special which they forgot to apply for us. The meal was still worth it. All you can eat meat lovers BBQ. Good quality beef slices, pork belly, seafood. Vegi dishes are also good. Only one kind of lamb... though. Service is friendly and easy to order, metal net on the stove changed quite frequently. The reception at the front deskcould be more welcome though. Seems like reserve only, some walk-in were turned back. Read more

Not only is the food delicious, the service there is AMAZING!! I came today for Valentines Day and was gifted a rose. Such a... sweet gesture! Honestly, all the staff there is so nice and friendly. I also dropped my ring today and was so scared that itwould be swept away as they have to clean up at the end of the day. I went back just as they were about to close and they hadalready found my ring and had it at the counter. The care and attention to detail is exceptional. 10/10 would recommend and Iwill definitely be coming back :) Read more
