Both the flavor of Thai milk tea and Thai lemon ginger tea are not strong enough. The Tum Yum coconut soup tastes pretty good... but the ingredients (chicken and mushroom) can be more. Except the soup, other foods all came out warm, not hot. Not aure ifthey were sitting at the counter for too long before they brought to our table. For this reason, I am giving it a 3 stars only. One of the nicer Thai places I have been to, in recent times. The ambiance is nice and the food is tasty and the portion sizes... are also good for the price. Please note, the prices are a tad bit expensive compared to other Thai restaurants, but they feelworth it based on portions and taste. Read more

Came here a few years ago and would have easily given it a 5 star review. Went there yesterday and it was a completely... frustrating experience and it mainly had to do with one thing....lack of service. I know the restaurant industry is goingthrough a tough time right now with staffing shortages but considering this restaurant is pretty small in size and it had 4waitresses working, we barely even saw them. We got seated around 8 pm and our food didn't arrive until 9:05....zero updatefrom the waitress on what was taking so long...actually for long periods of time the waitresses would completely disappear. Were they cooking too? The restaurant wasn't even that busy...maybe 60% full at the time. The worse part is that my dish cameout first, but my wife's dish came out 25 minutes later. I was almost done my dish by that point ... That is totallyunacceptable. We finished eating around 9:40 and they cleared the plates quickly. Then they disappear again for another 25minutes while we are there waiting for our bill. What should have been a 1 hour max meal went about 2 hours. Completely andutterly unacceptable. We only order one entree for each of us and the food was pretty good and that is why this review gets 2star instead of 1. Read more

Great place for Thai food. Service was good and the food was really yummy. Thai Shrimp cake was yummy. Thai Green Curry was... spicy and got a beautiful flavour to it. We asked for pad Kee mao in glass noodles and they made it for us and it was tasty.Definitely will go to this place again. Read more

I've been coming here for at least 8 years once in a while and it's one of my continuous go to Thai restaurants! Came here for... dinner as a table of 5 about two weeks ago, the portions were all decent size and great for sharing family style! Weordered: Pomelo Salad Green Mango Salad Beef & Chicken Satay BBQ Pork Jowel Mussamun Curry Beef Brisket Curry Soft ShelledCrab Bangkok Style Pad Thai Garlic Prawns Young Coconut Fried Rice Favourites were pomelo salad, pork jowel, Brisket Curry, padThai and coconut rice. The two curries we ordered were not spicy but actually sweet which was interesting to try! The coconutfried rice was baked in tin foil and infused with coconut flavour and a chewy rice texture - very unique and delicious! Can'twait to come back next time! Read more

There are lots of great Thai restaurants in the GTA and Thai Basil definitely is one of them. First, the service was great,... friendly and efficient all the way, our orders came quick with zero delay. The food was amazing, we ordered the "Khao soi"noodles and the "pad gra pao" and it was spot on to what we had back in Chang Mai but thankfully not as spicy. If you enjoyThai cuisine then you owe it to yourself to check the place out. Super clean, tasty and well priced. Read more
