Our favorite server was not there. The chef was not there. Then… ya order a beer- they gave us the end of the line. The... server didn’t come around and bring us the drinks she tried to reach across the 6 person table to pass them out. Omg. Reservation at 4:45 Got to order drinks at 5;00. Drinks came 30 minutes later we ordered our mains and apps and got the apps at5:45. Food came out after 6. We had to ask our server to take the dirty plates each time we finished a course. Dessert. This place is so awesome. It’s an artfully decorated motel with a restaurant attached in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant... sits at Smith Creek’s intersection with the Potomac River. Plenty of outdoor dining. The staff will even light a fire pit foryou on the little beach as you watch the sun set. You are facing west and the sunsets are spectacular. The menu, which featuresMaryland seafood, is almost perfect. I had the best cream of crab/roasted corn soup here that I have ever had in my whole life.It had plentiful and huge lumps of crab floating in a delicious broth. I stayed the weekend so I got to try a lot of menuitems. I also had a delicious meal of seared ahi tuna w/ crunchy kale alongside three plump scallops on a bed of apple slaw. Soyummy! The only items that weren’t absolutely perfect were the oysters on the half shell. I ordered six. They didn’t tastebad but they were mysteriously missing the pool of liquid that oysters usually float in. Usually the act of eating raw oystersis referred to as “slurping oysters” but here there was no slurp. Kinda weird. But everything else couldn’t have beenbetter! I highly recommend spending a relaxing weekend here, kicking back on the beach in the Adirondack chairs with a goodbook and then sampling the menu as the sun sets, maybe over a fire. Only stopped by for drinks but others were eating and the food looked yummy. The drinks were also good. They had a special... cocktail menu with many interesting drinks. We sat outside in comfortable Adirondack chairs as we watched the sun setting. Itwas relaxing and beautiful at the same time. What more could you ask for. Great atmosphere. Next time I will stay for the foodfor sure. Read more
Food was great, crab balls and hush puppies came out QUICK - waited 50 minutes for our main brunch (french toast and eggs... Benedict) and they weren't pack but... was WORTH IT. First time and we'll be back. Bloody marys and mimosas were great, servicewas great. Seating is very nice and comfortable inside, looks very clean. We very much enjoyed our experience and will comeback. It looks like this would be a GREAT place to hang on friday or saturday nights too! I recommend you go try this place ifyou haven't! Read more
My husband and I are new locals to the area and found this gem hidden away as if it’s our little secret spot to keep to... ourselves but unfortunately reality set in and we realized a place like this should be shared by everyone! ???? Pier450 is notto be missed. The atmosphere is amazing inside and out. If you want a place to impress friends or entertain businesspartners/clients or just relax visit Pier450. Along with a gorgeous view and exceptionally crafted cuisine, the staff isextremely kind and in our experience overly willing to accommodate the best they can. Love this place! It is an incredible location (well worth the drive) on the water with a 450 depot pier, sandy beach, and... beautiful sunsets. It’s a great place to bring kids because there is room to roam outside. And the food is delicious!! Read more
Delicious food and a beautiful setting! Unfortunately it was raining the evening we were there so we didn't catch a sunset but... it would be the perfect place for it. A lot out door seating right on the sand, fire pits, and you can walk the dock. The foodwas outstanding! I had the bowtie pasta with creamy vodka sauce which was amazing but the portion size was very same, deliciousnon the less. My husband had the steak and shrimp and was extremely pleased with the flavors and portion size. The blueberrylavender Creme Brulee was very good as well! Nice amount of beer choices available. Waitress was friendly and attentive, woulddefinitely go back if in the area again. Read more
Just wow! I accidentally came across this location while looking for places to getaway in Virginia, and I'm glad I did. This... place is my new favorite place. Nothing short of amazing.
