I had a small poutine today and I was pretty disappointed! I love your fries so i thought the poutine would be amazing but it... wasn't. It had very little gravy and just a few cheese curds.I didn't finish it all, threw the bottom fries out. I don't mindpaying for good food, but paying 8.00 for a small, dry poutine is ridiculous. Tried the regular dog for $5.50 tax incl. They also offer a footlong for $8. Good size, cooked through and angled sliced. Decent... warmed bun and in one of those nifty cardboard holders. Decent and quick enough. . . An unrelated side note would be to repaintthe picnic tables. From lots of use and weathering the tables are quite stained and come across dirtier than they probably are. Cute & clean little chip shack with outdoor seating (picnic tables with umbrellas). Standard chip shack fare. No vegetarian... options aside from french fries. I enjoyed a $6 Small Poutine. Fries were cooked well, gravy was thick and the cheese curdswere the real deal. The only concern I had were the condiments roasting in the late afternoon sun. Thanks for the deliciouspoutine! This is a great quaint eating spot that reopened on 266 Ridge Rd N Ridgeway .The new owner is friendly and socialable we talked... while he prepared my order. I tried the juicy all beef hot dog and the perch fish and chips wonderfully tasting food great jobto the new owner of The Chip Shack. I am making this one of my favorite eating spots ! I highly recommend this place the ownerknows how to prepare food that you will enjoy and his friendly chat is FREE ! Read more
Chips are excellent, enjoyed milkshake and ice cream too. It was the only place open on a Monday at 5pm to get a snack and sit... outside under the umbrellas provided. It was a welcome stopping point on our walk. Read more
