Great night out with my wife. Food was very good. We had the escargot and the special seafood crepe as appetizers. Short rib... stroganoff for main meal. Chef came out and spent a few minutes talking with each of the tables. Can't wait for next time to trysome more of the dishes. Read more
Latour is a fantastic boutique type restaurant tucked into the center of Ridgewood. The food is magnifique [chef's kiss]! We... were there for a Prix Fixe dinner ($55+ tax/gratuity) & everything was delicious, beautiful & perfect. The pictures show what Iordered: the crab strudel in lobster sauce, as a Appetizer, Caesar salad, lamb entré, & crème brûlêe with tea fordessert. The ambience is just French enough to be charming, but not obnoxiously ostentatious. And forget what you've heardabout snooty, rude French waiters & restaurants. One of the best restaurants in New Jersey IMO. Love to come here for special occasions or when we want a memorable night. The... food is incredible - flavors, pairings, presentation. Foie gras is incomparable! Latour belongs in NYC, it’s that good. Ifyou’re not very familiar with French food, don’t be intimidated. Made a reservation a few days before, they called the day of to confirm, when we got there we waited 10-15 minutes for the host,... and they didn't have our table ready outside. It's not like they were busy so don't know what that was all about. The table wasvery wobbly and I had to ask the waiter to get a piece of cardboard. The roasted beet salad was not good. There was a fewlettuce leaves on top drenched in dressing with plenty of rotten lettuce underneath. Dressing wasn't really good either. Thesalmon was cooked very well. Nice crust, just right. The rice underneath tasted old and like it came from one of these flavoredrice boxes. The sauce looked like someone yaked on my plate and it tasted a bit like brown gravy, which is an odd flavor to usewith salmon. Vegetables were good. The braised short ribs dish was an overall good dish. We got the cheesecake for dessert andit was good, but too small. The waiter was really nice and they gave us an extra dessert because they were closing for vacationthe next day. For the price though, I was not impressed. Read more
I had a great experience while dining with friends at Latour. The menu was diverse, and the wait staff more than accommodating.... The Beef Wellington is excellent. The owner of the restaurant was very cordial, and came out to to introduce himself toeveryone at the table. The restaurant is BYOB which I find to be a huge plus. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant isbusiness casual, however, the outdoor dining area is less formal affording a more relaxed summer attire. Read more
Live this little French restaurant in the heart of Ridgewood NJ! Dishes are a bit salty sometimes but with BYOB, it’s a... perfect match! With COVID they had to reduce their menu a bit but overall still a great place. Read more
Love Latour, a gentle evening for just good food with my son. Good spot to relax and have a quiet dinner. I think that is the... appeal for me. It is no rush, easy, fine service restaurant. The food is delicious, could be a bit hotter. But I love goingto Latour. Read more
