Walked in and no one was there to greet us. Other than that the waitress was very good and pleasant. Food was above average... for a diner style restaurant. Butternut squash soup was decent. Read more

The ambiance and service: 5 stars Food: 4 stars We came as a family of 4 + 1 baby. The inside of the restaurant is really cute... if a nice diner vibe. The presentation of the food was good but the flavor was a little bland. The steak and eggs were good butthe steak definitely needed a harder sear and a crust. The burrito bowl ($17) was much smaller than expected. The huevosrancheros had a nice presentation but was also very little food. It was mostly sauces on a tortilla. The kids pancake was yummybut would?ve been nice to have at least a little bit of jam or fruit or anything for a nicer presentation. The house potatoesalso needed some seasoning or salt. Read more

We came here during early lunch. We ordered the Baja Fish Tacos and the Fish n Chips entrées. Baja Fish Tacos- very juicy and... not dry, everything was breaking apart quickly. My spice tolerance isn't good and I don't like how it wasn't listed on themenu with a red chili pepper sign. If a food item is going to have red pepper flakes all over the tacos, at least give a warningto customers who don't like spice. The Fish was good, the cabbage was messy and I couldn't enjoy holding the tacos. Fish nchips- not worth it for how little amount it was. The quality was okay, but two pieces of Fish and more potatoes doesn't makethe meal what it is. French Fries - crisp and tasted good Service was okay. For a quiet afternoon, service could have beenbetter to check on us. We didn't need to stay for dessert knowing how lunch already was going at Raymond's. All forms ofpayment are accepted, parking is available anywhere around town. Presentation inside "Raymond's" gives you a nostalgic feel ofold school New York City diners. Food and prices don't match up. Read more

Classic Forty?s Diner/ French bistro Vibes immediately come to mind from the black and white honeycomb tiled floors, marble top... bistro tables, red leather banquettes, Art Deco light fixtures, grand windows and tin ceilings. The restaurant does get busy forlunch and even busier in the evenings. They also feature outdoor seating. The food is good, good stop for a quick bite.Excellent grilled cheese sandwiches. I was really looking forward to the Blueberry Pie but was disappointed that they sold outof them (which I found strange as it was the middle of lunch). Definitely poor planning on a popular item. I had the berrycobbler which was good but served extremely hot. The service of our waitress (Teresa O.) was great (she had someoneshadowing/training) and she checked her tables often. However the service of the runner was a aloof - needs hospitalitytraining. One area of improvement would be attention to detail (cleanliness) as the space could be much cleaner (banquette hadcrumbs in the seat, under the banquette were French fries and paper, there was food smeared in the sugar caddy and our b&bplates could have been cleaner also). If these areas are addressed it would make up for a lackluster experience. It had beensome time before this past Sunday since I was last here, unfortunately this will be my last impression. Delicious breakfast with quick service. The chicken wings were tasty but could have been cooked longer to achieve a crisp skin.... The breakfast bowl was absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed the waffles w/ bacon and eggs. We will definitely return withour kids who we believe will enjoy it as well. Read more

Great place to have breakfast in Ridgewood. When walked in you immediately had the feel of an old time diner. It was decorated... with charm and we were immediately greeted by a very polite and welcoming hostess. We were there on a Friday morning and satimmediately. Almost all of the tables were full but the service was fast and the food was amazing. We started with coffee, whichwas hot and flavorful. All three breakfasts were cooked to order. I had a custom omelet, my daughter Courtney, had the FrenchToast and her husband Mike had the Huevos Rancheros. All of the plates looked as good as they tasted. The service was excellentand no one tried to rush us out. I definitely recommend going to Raymond's it is worth the trip. Read more

A fantastic experience for my first time. This was a great brunch. I have always had fond memories of Ridgewood (Country House... Pancake) and the town did not disappoint once again. It was great that it was a Sunday as parking, which is normally sodifficult was easy with free parking. The wait on a Sunday was only about 20 minutes for two. The hostess was fantastic inmaking sure we were seated in a place not too close to the door as it was a cold day. Our Server AJ was fantastic he was quickto take our order and the food was out in approximately 15 minutes and it was a surprisingly busy day (Pandemic and all). TheBelgian Waffles and the Steak and Eggs was what I had as you can see below. I requested the eggs hard as I did not feel likechasing runny eggs. It was perfect. I was not aware that they had potatoes in it and oh boy. I am not a fan of potatoes forbreakfast at all but these were some different type of potatoes, I am convinced they laced them with love just for me. They wereso good I ordered them to go for my best friend at home (She would have killed me yall). The steak was not over seasoned or overcooked and the waffles were ok. They were a bit hard to be honest but I was able to manage through them. Overall the ambiancewas very very good. The only concern was how packed it was with Covid-19 and I didn't see them deeply sanitize the tables just alittle wipe down. Outside of that the place was very very good. It's intimate and drives a loud vibe especially on Sunday. Iwill definitely be visiting them again. Well done Raymond crew. Read more
