I have been here once before and liked it. So thought I'd give it another go. I had pot stickers and Tom Yum Gai soup. The pot... stickers were good, but not very hot when they came out. Almost cold. The flavor was good and the chili lime soy sauce was greatfor dipping. The soup wasn't that great. The veggies seemed uncooked completely. Like they were just thrown in and served. SomeI could not even chew, making them inedible. The chicken was very chewy. Overcooked. The broth didn't have much flavor. So Iadded the rest of my soy sauce from the pot stickers and that made it better. Service was very good and friendly. I was greetedright away, drinks right away. Price was a little high. $28 for a small soup, small appetizer, and drink. $34 with tip. Thebest part was the Thai Iced Tea. Awesome! Read more
Don?t let the ambience full you! Extremely small portions for the price. Not worth it. Food is also very bland. My husband... ordered the dinner plate portion of red curry. It was lunch portion sized. The red curry was very runny and super oily. Theorder also did not come with rice. He had to order it separately. This place is completely overpriced. I should not have tospend over $40 for 2 people. For just 2 items and water. We?ve been to many Thai restaurants in order many portions, which aretwice the size and it is never this expensive. This place is a total rip off!! I was told they don't serve lunch size portions on a Saturday, that I had to order the entree.... The hostess acted haughty and condesending. I ordered a red curry with chicken and a Thai Iced tea. I was asked if I wantedrice. I asked if it came with the curry, she said "no". What!!? What kind of an Asian restaurant doesn't serve rice with acurry? Modesto, California is not Beverly Hills. (Ripon is basically a suburb of Modesto) What I received was 16oz of a veryred runny liquid with some vegetables and a little bit of chicken. A 10oz plastic to go cup of Thai tea. The cup was half fullof ice.. Their tea tasted watered down and they put in too much sweet cream. WaBa has way better Thai tea! The curry tastesmediocre. The vegetables were crunchy. It's like they just tossed raw vegetables into the runny sauce and served it that way.I've had better service and food elswhere. Wal-Mart's/Ralph's/Vons deli soups are the same size, taste better and lessexpensive. Don't waste your hard earned money coming here. I was charged $20 for this? Never again!! While coming back from Yosemite, we decided to go with Thai food and we stopped here. The food was great.Panang curry could have... been thicker. Servant was kind and had a pleasant welcoming smile. Good Thai themed ambience. Decent prices, overall experiencewas great. Read more
My Thai Cuisine in Ripon is very good. Been here a couple of times now and the food is delicious and presented nicely. I wish... the curry was actually a little thicker but it has plenty of flavor. The other dish we had was Pad See Ew with Tofu which likeall the other dishes that I have tried are very fresh. The gentleman that waited on us (I think possibly the owner) wasfriendly and very attentive even with a pretty full restaurant. Definitely worth a trip is you are craving Thai food. I will beback. Terrible soup tom kha chicken. No lemon grass? Galangal? Chicken was thin , boiled shoe leather. Soup was only white onions-... lots, with a few white mushrooms!Chicken noodles soup had better Chicken, but about enough for a toddler. Drank some broth gotrid of rest. $75 for 2 people. Read more
