Last Wednesday I went with my girlfriend to have dinner at this place. Before the pandemic we used to love to go regularly but... this time we were surprised that it was empty. Now I understand why. The woman at the front desk is rude, with lousy customerservice. She treated us in a bad way, Like she didn't want us to be there, never said good evening, Thank you for coming orthank you. It is sad that people like this damage the image of a good business, the owners should pay more attention to thepeople who live in Riverhead and because of people like this, we will not return to Sakura, because they make us feeluncomfortable. Ordered food to go? I was disgusted to find someone?s finger nail in my food. Went back to show them.. they weren?t even... surprised to see it. The manager told me ?yes the cook is missing one nail? ???? gross. Definitely not going back. Read more
Service is beyond amazing and the atmosphere nice and quiet for a birthday celebration dinner. Food was delicious as well.

DO NOT GO HERE!! bad place. Food is INEDIBLE. Ordered California roll sushi, chicken fried rice and ginger house salad. The... Sushi presentation was very pretty, but the taste was horrid. It was HOT and chewy. tasted sour. I picked it apart to see whythe crab was chewy and there it is. It was not crab but Imitation crab. When I went to open the rice it smelled of chemicals andoil. I took a bite and it tasted extremely oily and bitter and not like fried rice AT ALL. Was beef instead of chicken. Iordered a ginger house salad, They charged me for it, and they did not give me it. This is all Absolutely unacceptable and notauthentic Japanese Cuisine AT ALL. From reading other peoples reviews others overall have had the same upsetting experience. Read more
Wait staff extremely rude, mad that we wanted to look thru the menu after sitting down for bot even 2 min. Must have lost their... liquor license because only stale wine available. My girlfriend had a severe food allergy from being bit by the lone star tickand the waitress got irritated that we asked questions about 2 different sushi rolls. To top it off there was 3 ( 2 adults 1child ) of us and got hit with an 18% gratuity on top of tipping the chef $20 for the absolute worst service and attitude I'vehad at a restaurant in prob 10 years.
