I should have written a review long ago, but best service and best Jamaican spot from Nassau to Montauk. While I worked in the... area for 5 years I would frequent this location during lunch break as my cheat meal cause I cook from home most days. Mrs. D andFamily were always nice always welcoming. I introduced Mrs. D to my mom one day when I took my mother shopping at the outlet. Love the food and love the energy, I regret that I have moved out of state and this location will be missed. P.S. to the peoplewho said the food does not have flavor and spice........ that have never been my experience. also There have been days when Iwould walk in to pick up food for my family and just because they knew they would be closing and did not want left over the nextday; she would give a few extra patties and meats which I really did appreciate. miss new york so much wishing this restaurantthe best and so many blessings! I got the curry goat. I wanted to love it but I didn?t????. I did though have the Oxtails here before and those were pretty good... but the curry goat just did not do it for me. There was really no flavor to the sauce but oil and salt. I will maybe try againor probably just stick with the oxtails. Read more
Oxtail is the best! Curry goat is awesome! Sweet potatoes is a must have.
On your 90 minute lunch break during jury duty.... walk over and and try this GREAT FOOD & SERVICE ! I only giving 3 stars... because I have only tried one dish. Oxtail was 5 Stars... mad good. Absolutely fantastic all around. The food is flavorful, tasty, delicious. The owner is so kind. I?ve had many different meals... here, all have been stellar. This restaurant alone makes me enjoy Riverhead that much more. Read more
