The food was great, the restaurant itself was very hot, I believe the AC wasnt working, I visited on a 100 degree weather day... and i decided to dine in. When i left the outside was cooler than inside of the restaurant. Hopefully the AC was fixed. Read more
This was on Sat July 9th. I got there at 7:57 p.m. and the place closes at 8:00 p.m. not only they let us in but cooked more... food for us and a couple more customer behind us with a smile on their face. That is great people providing amazing customerservice. Read more
The below review is based on my opinions while visiting this business on 03/24/2022 at 12:10pm. This place is a complete... madhouse. Got in here at 12:10pm. Finally got to place my order at 12:20pm. Got my food at 12:45pm. From what I saw they had 4employees working. Thank you for showing up to work. This review is not on the employees working there. The franchisee needs towork harder to find more employees to work here please. Customers were just standing everywhere waiting for the food. I wassurprised that they charged me $4 for for two small plastic packets of guacamole. Each packet probably has about two 1-1.5tablespoons of guacamole. I have eaten at this Pollo Loco three times in the last month. The food from this particular store is always fresh and the... portions are ample. If it were just the food I would rate it five stars. However, this particular Pollo Loco is very old anddated, the dining area distracts from from enjoying the food, thus the downgrade to 4 stars. So I read a ton of negative reviews and decided to debunk which where true and or if they fixed the issues. So here are the... things most people complained about ?Bad smell, rude staff, cost more,old and run down, wrong order, loud vibrating noises fromventilation,very smoky, slow service, chicken tasted old and was burned, interior very hot, dirty disgusting,? For starters Idecided to go to this location right at opening (10am) I arrived slightly early so investigated the outside, I smelled oldgrease almost immediately when turning into the parking lot, that was a bad sign, I wondered what I got myself Into. At exactly10am I walked up and their was an older man and an employee waiting locked out, the manager on duty or the franchise owneropened the door for us about 5 minutes after 10. To start with the biggest problem most people had was the rude staff, Ibelieve they fixed the issue, when the manager opened the door he welcomed me in, the employee that was waiting aswell ,gestured for me to go in first. The lady at the counter was very friendly taking my order , and when I received my food atleast3 people thanked me from the kitchen. The staff in my experience was great. Another mentioned problem was a horrible smell,like a sewer. I purposely set next to the bathroom and the inside did not smell bad at all, the only bad smell was old greaseand you could only smell it outside. I even smelled the salsa bar and it smelled very fresh. As far as the cost , I?ve readenough reviews to believe that they do charge more, but I didn?t test this theory myself, I paid $11.53 for a 5/p tapatio wingsand a drink. The build was a little older and could use some touch up, but I don?t hold that against the company, it?s veryexpensive in California, and restaurants naturally have a low profit margin, I?m not upset at the condition , it was moreacceptable . This place is awesome. I love their Pollo bowl, their avocado salsa, and their horchata. Can't go wrong with this location. Lots... of neighborhood and university folks go here. During lunch, the office crowd will have it busy. Also, the folks working here arealways so friendly and helpful. Read more
Worst experience ever they skimp you on the chicken the guy with glasses then they close at 8pm instead at 9 pm
