Due traffic, we missed our breakfast reservations and made arrangements to eat somewhere else. We Googled restaurants in the... area and Tio Taco had great reviews, and was within walking distance. It's a quirky, artsy place where the decor was createdusing discarded and unused materials. It has several dining patios and you can also eat inside. There may be other Mexican nearby that has better food and etc but none will be as unique and artistically pleasant to dine at... than Tio's. Depending on the foods, it ranges from good to average. We love going to Tio's for the unique whimsicalenvironment that the owner has created. It is a very special place that needs to be protected for others to enjoy in thefuture. We were driving, and passed these huge statues of mariachis made completely out of paint cans and lids! We had to stop! We... entered thru the middle section and saw all the wonderful art pieces everywhere! They have outdoor dining and that's where mostof the people sat. Definitely going back soon! Read more
Great vibe for lunch date. Not very fond with the shrimp cocktail and the guac is a bit too lemony but everything else is good.... Nice day to sit outside. Will come back in near future. Read more
It is fine. Whimsical decor makes it fun. Very pricy for an order-at-the-counter type of establishment. It was $100 for our... family of 4 and we didn?t get any alcohol or appetizers or anything. Kind of astonishing. The shredded beef was dry and had achemical flavor. The Chile relleno was cold in the middle, obviously npt fresh made. Won?t probably be back. Read more
I love coming here when I'm in Riverside. Food is amazing and I love the outdoor seating. There's a "garden" out back where you... can sit and enjoy the food, the nice weather and the restaurant's junk artwork. Ample parking in the back of the restaurant. Therestaurant needs to however work harder at keeping the bathrooms cleaned and fully stocked. Read more
OK here?s the thing, I gave this place four stars because the ambience and the decoration?s are great, the staff here was... definitely very polite and courteous and very helpful. The reason you should go here is to check out all of the stuff they aredoing with the recyclable bottles and plastics and even bottle caps. If you want to check out a very unique and actuallybeautiful restaurant definitely give these folks a try, I did not give them a five star because their food was mediocre, Thefood was not very hot or very flavorful, but I guarantee he will not be disappointed in the decor. Love this place for the setting of assemblage art that just surrounds you! The delicious Mexican food is a bonus. Lots of... seating and our large group was able to get their lunches and then sit together which made it so easy. We sat on the back patiobut there?s lots of fun options and you just can?t stop looking around. we had lunch here and then walked to the Cheech so itwas perfect. Read more
