We have loved Chew Chew since it was on the other side of the tracks. In its new location it not only improved on on indoor and... outdoor eating. The size of the restaurant now can serve more customers on the main floor and has a second floor to serve evenmore customers. There is a great bar ???? ???? if there is a wait! When the three of us went Chew Chew was nearly full. Thestaff managed to offer either of two booths. The many food and menu choices were great as always. The staff was courteous andefficient! Server was borderline rude. Three of 4 meals were good. I ordered the steak Sandwich. Let’s just say I’ve had better steak... sandwiches for $8 instead of $18. After paying the tab the server never came back. He ended up with a 28% tip…. Read more
Appetizers: Steamed Mussels - 5/5 - My first time having mussels so I'm not the best judge, but they were excellent Poutine -... 5/5 - Also my first time having Poutine, but it was excellent Dinner: Surf and turf (Filet Mignon & Scallops) - 3/5 - This wasmy only disappointment of the night and would never order again. Scallops and asparagus were perfect, mashed potatos were goodbut needed a little more seasoning for my tastes, the filet mignon though is the reason for the disappointment and nothing I'veseen before. Came as 2 pieces of thin cut meat, maybe 1/4 inch thick each. They looked more like pork chops. I ordered Mediumrare and both were just shy of being well done. Staffing - 4/5 - Waiter was nice, little weird but I don't have anycomplaint. Cleanliness - 5/5 Overall - 4/5 - Nice place and the food overall was excellent, I was with a party of 8 and my steakwas the only complaint. Would recommend to others. Read more

A culinary delight! Where to begin? This has been in my places to visit for almost a year, and when some friends wanted to get... dinner together it was suggested. The service was great, the drinks were fantastic, and the food, oh my god, so delicious! Icould go on raving, but just go and taste the food and see for yourself. Love this local place!!! All of their food is so good especially the filet mignon, & the crispy creamy wild shrimp! Also love... half off oyster Thursdays & the mussels. Rainbow trout special was also very tasty. Great execution of food, ambiance & service!Their holiday menus are also great. Read more
