The people you hire make a difference! This is going to be a longer review because I cannot express how different and amazing of... an experience we had with The Madison. There were three things that mattered when we went to visit a venue: the place lookednice, the food was good, and the people were people who would have your back if anything went wrong. The Madison is gorgeous,the food is incredible, and Jessica, Kailey, and Thomas are exactly who you want for your wedding! We got so many complimentsduring and after our reception! Once we restarted our wedding planning (thank you Covid), we were planning on having a less than100-person wedding. Many places told us they couldn’t accommodate such a small wedding because we wouldn’t meet their“minimum amount spent.” Other places that still let us visit had managers that were rude or inconsiderate. They also did notseem to care if Covid could again interrupt it. Then I spoke with Jessica. Everything was a confident “Yes, we can accommodatethat” or “don’t worry, we have plans in place.” She made me feel important even with a small wedding and was alwaysquick to respond. When we went to tour the Madison, we met with Kailey. She was so great! She was warm and funny and made usfeel welcome. She answered all our questions quickly. I was already impressed with how beautiful the place was when she showedus the Décor closet that housed many things that we could use without having to purchase or pay a rental fee! We had gone inthinking that The Madison might have been a little out of our budget but the fact that they could save us so much money indécor alone helped. Kailey continued to have great communication after meeting us and made us feel confident that we weremaking the right decision. Had a baby shower here. Brunch hot food was good and plentiful. My complaint is the chicken was undercooked. The room was... HOT. We asked for air to be turned down twice. It started to cool off after an hour and then went right back up in temperatureand was again HOT. Dessert …. Plan on bringing in other packaged baked good. The petifours were set out literally 1 perperson. We ordered the donut wall - very expensive - it was a donut peg board. We received 40 donuts for 36 people at a costof $180 and staff was asked by guests for additional donuts and was told there were none. Way too expensive for what wereceived. Drinks - we opted for no alcohol and added juice bar. Complaint from guests was only options without sugar werewater; hot tea or coffee. We just held my sister's bridal shower in the Fireplace room and couldn't have asked for more. From the candles in the entryway... to the seasonally decorated mantel to the personalize menus placed at each setting, everything looked so beautiful, we wouldhave been fine without our own decorations! From planning to service to the amazing food (shoutout to the parfait and thedoughnuts), everything and everyone was a total delight. 10/10 would host another event here. Read more
I had my bridal shower here in the courtyard and it was perfect!! They have so many items already that you can use to decorate... (like lanterns) and the food was great (we had salad, salmon, potatoes and pasta). It was a hot day in September and they hadplenty of umbrellas to keep everyone cool. Where do I even begin? The Madison was the second venue I looked at. I was toured by a former event coordinator Julie who was so... very friendly and informative- I left the venue and called her in the car to book! She was amazing to work with and extremelyaccommodating. Then comes Covid. The Madison made postponing stress free! They gave me reasonable options for postponing or werewilling to work with me to help my event happen within the current CDC guidelines ( they now have a beautiful tent). I decidedto postpone and it was seamless. I have heard horror stories from other brides about difficulties with postponing and none ofthat happened with The Madison. I was reassigned to another event coordinator after Julie left that I only worked with for a fewweeks, then I was reassigned again to Thomas. Again, a seamless transition. It was like he had been working with me on mywedding since day 1. THOMAS IS A GOD SEND. He is friendly, caring, accommodating, and you can absolutely tell he loves hiscareer. He made me feel like we were the only event that was happening even though they have tons of different types of eventsat The Madison all the time! He always did anything and everything he could to eliminate any worry or stress (not that I wasgiven much to worry about). He went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure our wedding day was 100% perfect and Thomas and the entire staffknocked it out of the park. They worked flawlessly with all of my vendors on the day of, set up my decorations perfectly, andwere quick with dinner service and friendly to guests. The food was fantastic, the venue looked stunning, and all of my guestshave been telling me how impressed they are. Not many had heard of The Madison but they’ve all left remembering it. The Madison made our wedding experience so easy. Not only is their staff absolutely amazing and makes you feel like you are the... MOST important, BUT they go above and beyond for your day to be exactly as you envisioned it. Our original venue canceled on usa year out and I was so panicked. Thomas, Kailey, and Jess game-planned and made everything possible for us. I truly would goback to have every life event there because they are that amazing.
