Drove by this place several times, and finally stopped in to see what it was all about. The lady working that night was very... nice and I really wanted to try one of the deli sandwiches, but had dinner recently. I plan to stop in very soon to get a delisandwich and try the fountain drinks, as I heard they go a little easy on the syrup. Nothing beats a sandwich from the Old Riverton Store. This place is classic. It's a great place to stop for a quick bite to eat... if you're driving through. They have all sorts of odds and ends stuff. Great options for classic candy, and my favorite soda.And be sure to grab a Route 66 souvenir on your way out! Read more

Nelson's Old Riverton Store is a really great place. It takes you back in time. It's a small grocery store that has a room off... to the side that has all kinds of route 66 memorabilia, they sell plants and flowers that they grow them selves. What they'reknown for is their sandwiches. You can get really great sandwiches that you choose what's on it and you can get baked beans orpotato salad and a drink as well. My husband and daughter love the pastrami and i like 1/2 ham and 1/2 turky. You can mix andmatch meat and cheeses it's great. Read more
