It was great. Very different comfort food and so many choices. I got a goat cheese hamburger for the first time. I never knew... goat cheese was sweet. My wife had waffle and chicken with coffee maple syrup. Never heard of that but it was great. Prices werevery reasonable. Great atmosphere, service was perfect. Give them a try if you're in Roanoke. The only real burger joint on Oak Street. Like the previous business in this location, Twisted Root, it's fancy burgers but now... with a full bar and more drink options. I tried the really loaded one that included an egg; interesting idea but more boast thanflavor, couldn't finish. Half price house drinks at happy hour are nice, but even one of those and a burger will put you out thedoor over $20. Priced out of my range for casual dining, more like a once in a while place, which is too bad because downtownRoanoke doesn't have more economical burgers besides fast food. Read more
Not the cheapest place in town for what it is, but definitely an interesting menu. Recommend the burgers for sure, the rest of... the food was pretty generic. The drinks are overpriced, but it seems to be the way things are going nowadays. May try it again,but not my first choice in Roanoke. Read more
So my husband believes this is the best FOOD here in downtown Roanoke! Took him here for his birthday. This is the best burger... spot around here. Now service can be slow?but we are still low key in a pandemic. My attitude gets bad quick but Thank God Iwaited tables in college! So be cool and have patience, food and drinks ???? delicious. We chose to pop in and try out the newest spot in downtown Roanoke. Dizzy Lucys did NOT disappoint. Everything we tried was... delicious!! There wasn't a single fry left to enjoy of their loaded fries. The shishito peppers were spot on yummy but theBrussels sprouts were what blew us away! I could eat them as a meal by themselves! DEFINITELY give their grilled cheesesandwiches a try! They'll be the perfect thing for a fall or winter chilly day! Read more
I had to laugh at myself because I?m a short guy and the bar stools were on the high side ? and I?m also not in my 20s. For the... whiskey lovers out there, the whiskey selection is decent, particularly bourbons. I did see Laphroaig 10yr and a couple ofdifferent Suntory. Beer selection is varied without being overwhelming. The truffle fries were delicious as was our burger. Saidburger could have been bigger for the price charged but, considering its flavor and quality, I?m willing to look the other way.We did order the loaded fries - tasty, but could have been more loaded. In any event, my wife and I are happy to have found acool local hangout. We hope it?ll stick around.
