My family and I were looking for a different place and we saw a line here and thought let's check it out. Boy am I glad we did.... The food was great. Definitely one of my top 3 favorites when it comes to BBQ. We ordered 1/2 ib of brisket, 1/2 Sirloin, halfa chicken, 1/2 Pulled pork. It was delicious. We also got the sweet corn coleslaw. Two words - Freakin? Amazing! You walk into the little reception area and immediately see the board with all of the menu options... and the majority of the items are right there in plain sight prepared fresh. I ordered the Ribeye. Dillon was the cook / chef upfront and greeted us with a smile and professionalism. He immediately took care of us and my steak came out simply amazing.Charred perfectly and mouth watering. The baked potato and corn cob side were also excellent but this steak was one I?ll neverforget. Highly recommended and will come here on my next trip to Texas! Read more
Overall - excellently cooked food with a different approach to food preparation and purchase. There is a wide variety of BBQ... food options with an almost cafeteria approach to food preparation and payment. It creates an atmosphere of pure enjoyment ofthe food waiting on staff to provide needs. Steak is cooked by demand while all other main dish meats are prepped and then givenas desired and charged by weight. Sides are delicious but were out of stock of Mac and cheese upon our arrival. 1st time eating here. The atmosphere was great. When you pull up, you see the smokers & the wood they smoke with. They sell the... meat by the pound. You Easley get way to much food. The food was delicious it had great flavor to it. I got the brisket, pulledpork, jalapeno sausage, smoked ham, ribs, slaw, baked potato, fruit salad. They also have a big pot of beans on the side, youcan get as much as you want. It was a bit pricey but, will definitely be going back to this place. Read more
Love this place for Real Texas BBQ. Order what you want hot off the grill. Lots of meats and delicious sides to choose from.... Cold beer and self serve beans. Not a better lunch or dinner. Now if I can just get them to open for breakfast! Read more
Best BBQ and Brisket hands down!!! I made a trip from South Carolina out here to Fort Worth for a huge car show back in... September of 2021 and I stopped here for dinner and I can?t even explain how great the food was. The brisket and the ribs weretop notch. The ribs would fall off the bone when I would just pick them up. The brisket was absolutely the best brisket I haveever had in my life! I would 100% make another 15 hour trip just to come and eat here again. Highly recommend this place welldone. Read more
This was my second Hard 8 BBQ Experience! This is in my opinion, the best place to get brisket. They will even throw in the... burnt tips if you want or any other part of the brisket that you would like you just tell the pit boss. And he'll carve it foryou. The ribs are perfect. They do not need sauce at all. Even though if you put a little barbecue sauce that they have, andthat they offer, it's a heavenly rib experience. I had sausage, brisket, and ribs. And they give you huge portions, so it won'tgo hungry and you'll feel that you had a very good value for the dollar. Colin, the pit boss came along to say hello and askhow everything was and of course I told him excellent. As well as a manager came by to visit with us and see that everything wasas expected. The atmosphere at Hard 8 is very inviting !! Very family oriented yet a great place to have adult get together'stoo. Ribs: 9.8 Sausage: 8.9 Brisket: 9.8 I've been to a lot of barbecues, and I just don't know where you're gonna get BBQmuch better. The smokiness of the meats is just perfect not too much not too little, their rub is phenomenal and they'rebarbecue sauce ( should you even need it ) is outstanding. Just do it!
