We tired Maria del Mar for the first time, wanting to support a new local restaurant, but unfortunately was disappointed and we... will not go back. The wait staff was super nice and the chips were light, hot, and tasty. However, the chili relleno wasabsolutely terrible. I like better than the place before. The flavor is all there, they have a variety of sauces and food options. My service has... been great every time I\'ve been. The Red Snapper Civiche is amazing. The Birria depends on the day but it\'s generally good.The Carnitas is delicious, I can\'t remember the name but the appetizer fries are crazy. Solid place. Read more

The food was good, very flavorful with large portions. I got the shrimp plate with Diablo sauce. It has good spice and flavor.... Im really hard when if comes to judging Mexican places. Because I am Mexican. Im giving this place a 4 star bc it wasn?t bad,... but it wasn?t amazing. There was no drink menu, I ordered a margarita on the rocks but didn?t have much buzz. The seafoodcocktail was very abundant, lots of octopus, big shrimp, but very ketchupy. A bit more oregano and cucumber could have been abig win.\nKids quesadilla plate very abundant. Made a reservation for dinner and were promptly greeted and seated. Great service from friendly folks. Diverse menu with many... options. Enjoyed a Valentines Day celebration with my sweetheart and met some next-door neighbors who had independent plans, yetwe were able to sit together. Great drinks and delicious food. We will be back.
