My first trip to Kippy's while visiting family in Roanoke. Still not sure of the difference between custard and soft serve, but... my Twist (vanilla and chocolate swirl) in a waffle cone was very good. This place is amazing! My friend just introduced me to Kippy's on Friday, and I had to go back for more on Saturday. I'm a big... fan of the vanilla with rainbow sprinkles and cookie dough. The cookie dough is the best I've ever had in a sundae/custard/icecream period. It's as if they seriously took some Toll House cookie dough, rolled it to little bits and threw it on there.They're also very generous with the toppings, and the toppings are cheap. Great tasting frozen custard! Good prices. They create dozens of delicious combinations from just two basic flavors, vanilla and... chocolate. The no frills mobile cabin location is a nostalgic reminder of rural southern frozen custard stands in the 1950's.All the money and effort go into offering an outstanding product.
