You can get a amazing subs and sandwiches plus other items. I always get great service and food everytime I come here. Cold... drinks from sodas to assorted alcohol to different cream glass bottle sodas. Also sandwich meats and cheeses from the delisection. They carter food for diffent events or have a few assorted selections to choose from. My top recommendation is theCHEESECAKE its the best plain or toppings. Hope you enjoy your food. Read more
Were do I start. I had the turkey sub add slaw. The sub was well under 10 bucks and bigger than my forearm. It came warm with... melty provolone and a toasted bun. I could barely finish half. It also came with a Delish dill pickle - topping off the perfectny deli style. My dad and I also shared a piece of NY cheesecake which was also huge and so so good. If you want delicious,straight forward food with friendly servers then definitely go here - often. New Yoker Deli has great sandwiches and other delicious foods, that you can eat. Still doesn't have eat in yet but they do take... out. Would highly recommend trying it. Read more
This was a special place for my family I have ate here since the 80s, my beautiful fiancé and I had our first date here and it... was my favorite restaurant now that the dinning room is closed all the nostalgia is gone for me and my family and probably formany Fellow Roanokers as well. If your not going to be a restaurant but a take out establishment close your doors.I am sodisappointed in what has happened to this place. Read more
Simply put, if you aren't a restaurant, then you aren't a restaurant. As soon as people lose their nostalgia over childhood... memories, they'll figure out that they can make what you make with a couple items from Kroger. Close altogether, or open yourdining room. Read more
Been a favorite since childhood. I used to go with my Mee-Maw & the staff knew her by name. Still got the best subs & sandwiches... in town, hands down. I'm gonna cry if they ever close. Read more
Place is nice. Not expensive. I had a submarine sub, big delicious sub. My wife had roast beef which it wasn't that good to be... honest. This is the only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars. Waitress was really friendly and helpful. Read more
We been eating here for years since I was a kid and now I live lot of state in Winston Salem, Nc. We still been eating here... throughout the pandemic thinking they would open the dining room. These guy have had plenty of time to open the dining room.Someone else?s walked in today to asking about the dining room and he was told 60% of their business is take out. We also askwhen we came in when they will open the diner and was told no where in the near future. We usually ride out Motorcyle and thesubs are messy so it best to eat inside. This restaurant is great subs and always will be ! They just don?t care about the 40%that was to sit down enjoy the subs like the old days. They are a CASH only business, they are making the money. The bottomline is they don?t care about the customer that need somewhere to sit and only care about the to go. I don?t understand why theycan?t just order the subs at the counter and use the sitting area like subway is. I guess to lazy to clean at the end of theday.
