While the food is always absolutely delicious with a menu that makes it difficult to choose, my recent experience was with the... catering. We've taken advantage of their catering menu for things like mothers day and Easter, and recently a surprise birthdaybrunch. While their quiche is the best anywhere, I also appreciate that they always have it ready when they promise and give theoption of heating if needed. Our Daily Bread Bakery & Bistro was absolutely delicious! As soon as you walk in you are greeted with the smell of a Heavenly... bakery. You place your order atbthe counter and pay. You are handed a table number and they bring you your meal. The Frenchtoast with the berry compote is the best French toast I've ever eaten. It did not need the whipped cream, powdered sugar orsyrup. It was perfect. My husband got hash browns, corned beef, sausage and eggs over medium he said his breakfast wasdelicious as well. The coffee was hot and strong. Four stars based on repeat visits with great options. I was simply disappointed to learn the endive salad is not one of them.... Described as a bed of lettuce this did not meet expectations. Not the best value, priced over $10. This was the runninginflation joke of the day. Never one to only write when disappointed this spot has some phenomenal alternative healthy options. Read more

I was looking for a bakery with homemade desserts one day and stumbled upon here. I ordered Marco's Cake and the Mango Mousse... and both were phenomenal! The Mango Mousse tasted like summer, very light and airy. Marco's Cake was very rich, but the pralinecrisp gave it a nice unsuspected crunch. Although I didn't eat there, I did notice the seating area was smaller. If you do planon lunch, I would plan ahead. Read more

This is our second visit to an Our Daily Bread Bakery and Restaurant. We visited the one in Salem, VA on Saturday and we visited... the Roanoke, VA location today, Monday morning. Both were outstanding. The outside of the two stores needs a little more TLCattention, but the inside is beautifully soothingly decorated. The music was soothing breakfast music too! The staff are supernice and friendly. The place is clean and immaculate. The pastries are delicious. The breakfast is scrumptious. They make thebest omelettes and croissant breakfast sandwiches! You can sense the french inspired cuisine in the decorations. The yellowwalls are so cheerful! Even the bathrooms are beautiful and cheerful! And clean. They even had gluten free bread and pastries.Incredibly happy to have found this place. Wonderful that there are four locations. We will be sure to return here often. Read more
What a great place for brunch, the ordering protocol is it bit different, like a cafeteria style order before you sit down,... which makes we feel a bit rushed in my opinion, but the food is delicious and the staff is very pleasant! Definitely Will Godback! Read more
