This is my daughter's and my favorites Mexican spot! The food is delicious and the decor/ atmosphere is amazing too! Take out... is also very fast and delicious as well when you get it home. It is also still delicious the next day for leftovers. The onlyissue I had was that they added their own huge gratuity for two people dining in. So watch your bill for them adding their owngratuity amount of over 20%. The waitress did not come to our table more than twice. I had mixed feelings about eating here as I ate here only one other time about 5 years ago. I ordered the guacamole for an app... which seemed kind of bland with no flavor. We added salt but it could have used some lime too. Next were the Birria tacoswhich my daughter liked. I had the churrasco tacos. They are served 4 to an order we both ate one before we remembered totake a picture. Both met and exceeded our expectations. Some of the menu items seemed very expensive for Mexican food. A lot of native decoration and fans runningwith sprinkling water. Sitting outside was comfortable, even at 85 degrees weather. nice background music makes it evenbetter. The not-bad —————— Food was decent. Not the best Mexican food you can find in the area but still a lotbetter than just ok. Considering the ambiance, the “ok” food tastes “good”. The Ugly —————— its the waiters/service here which forced me to take away 2 stars Waiting staff (at-leastthose who work in outside dining area) don’t make you feel welcomed. that behaves like bouncers in clubs. not friendly atall. But that’s not worst. They even trick your orders. For example, we ordered virgin-pena-colada, i think it was $6 onmenu. but charges on bill were 20$ for one drink. The reason that they served it in real pineapple, instead of normal cup, butwe didn’t ask for it. Also when you ask for plain water then instead of tap water they’ll bring you bottled water addingcharges in bill. So you’ve too specify while ordering. Its just $2, but still. And even when you don’t like serviceyou’ll have to pay 20% tip, because 20% gratuity is automatically added in your final bill. conclusion —————— Ifyou do not care about money at all, Then go there. you’ll not regret. If you care about money, you can still visit. butmake sure you confirm the prices before ordering. This place was okay. Nothing really special about it besides that it looks nice and they had the bull riding machine. We barely... saw our server and it took some time for him to even come back to us. We noticed he kept going back to his other tables butbarely came back to us as. We had to ask the other people for assistance before he came back to us. They also don't dosubstitutions on any of their meals, so if you don't want potatos and want more broccoli u can't do that. As a family, any other time , we go out ; just to have a good time . We used to come to El Asadero . Since they opened. It used... to be a good service and fun . But it became boring . The waitress are very unfriendly . We all asked for tacos but one of theorders ;was just not looking appetizing ; we nicely asked the male waitress ; to have a different order of tacos . He didn’teven apologize; all he said ; I can’t take it out of your bill ; because you ordered . So my husband said . We've been a few times. The first was when the they had just opened and we had a great experience. Thought we had found a new go... to spot for good Mexican food. The next two times the experience was hideous with today's being the final straw. The food isslightly above mediocre but not bad. The service was horrible. The drink from the bar at $18 was a watered down margarita that acollege freshman would have done better at mixing. To top it off, 20% was automatically added to my bill which was for a partyof 2! I tried to stick around to watch the entertainment when the lady a few booths away from us finally got her check she hadbeen asking about for the last 20 minutes but after another 10 minutes of listening to her yell out for someone to bring thebill to no avail, we decided to leave.
