I got the shrimp scampi and it was average. Nothing special. I was expecting more considering it was $25. Not much flavor. Too... much liquid. Read more

Staff were friendly. The bread was good and the food was nothing out of the world. The side pasta was really salty. The place... inside was beautiful and it was a good atmosphere. Read more

Colleague and I had a wonderful dinner last Wednesday at DeMarco's. The lasagna and salad that I had was absolutely excellent... and our server was top notch. She was very attentive and made great recommendations with respect to what food was good. I foundbeing there when they open up early on Wednesday is great because there's not a lot of people, and the way the place is laid outas they become crowded it does get a bit difficult to hear people. Otherwise a great dining experience in downtown rochester, which I highly recommend to everybody. Read more

We were expecting an upscale dining experience and good food, but this place did not provide. 2 stars for atmosphere and... friendly staff. They are understaffed, so it took 30 minutes sitting there to get any service or water. I’m pretty sure onewaitress was serving the entire restaurant. Knowing today’s climate, we just remained patient. The manager was helping out, while dining himself; super nice guy and made sure we got bread (brought to us by the hostess). But the fact that he was diningright next to us, and abruptly got up from his table to announce he was going to get us some bread, was a little off putting. Wejust laughed it off. The bread was dry and we didn’t really eat it (we should’ve left then, as any Italian restaurant withdry bread is surely not going to be good). When she finally arrived to our table, the waitress was smiling and pleasant, butsoon proved to be untrained. She displayed several serving fauxpas throughout the meal, served our $120 bottle of wine withoutoffering a taste, knew nothing about the menu, and made no attempts to discuss anything with the chef. Every response was ashoulder shrug and, ‘Yeah, I don’t know.’ Overall, her smiles could not make up for her lack of experience, and itseverely diminished the quality of our dining experience. The basil-butter shrimp app was unseasoned and contained no basil(‘Yeah, I don’t know, that would be a chef question.’ Doesn’t ask chef.) My entree was bland and gluten-free pasta sidewas overcooked. Bolognese sauce is apparently made with veal, but the waitress had no idea and from her comment neither did thechef (‘Yeah, even the chef was surprised when it cooked up white, but the package said beef, so it’s definitely beef.’LOL) It was flavorless nonetheless, as were our entrees. My companion said the zip sauce on the beef was good, if you want toput that on everything. It was overall a disappointing meal, and we will not return. I also saw on their website that they areopening a Read more

Very nice looking restaurant the interior is beautiful. Pretty typical Italian menu ranging from pastas that are homemade to... pizzas to the other typical dishes. The server was very friendly but untrained. Reaching across people's faces when he had roomto walk around and serve properly. Maybe a really good training session is needed for their staff. But he couldn't have beennicer and had a great attitude. Both the manager and the owner were walking around which is a very good thing. The food was goodand I would go back. Read more

Cocktails were great and the restaurant atmosphere is fantastic. That's pretty much all that this place has going for... it. Looks like they've been getting poor reviews on their food for a few years now and it appears as though they have yet totake those reviews to heart. The pasta was overcooked and barely holding together. The "margherita pizza" was undercooked andin all honesty should be renamed based on what arrived to the table. Good place for drinks. I would say go elsewhere if you'relooking to eat. Read more

5 Star Service, Food, Cocktails & Atmosphere! Had a great dinner here with friends & our waitress Kate gave great... recommendations that we all loved! She was also so sweet! (along with the hostess, too!) Our drinks, appetizers, entrees anddessert all came out in a timely fashion with no delays. The filet with zip sauce & potatoes were my favorite and the lemon cakefor dessert- you'll thank me. The vodka sauce pasta was great too- had a really nice kick to it! The owner was checking in withall of the tables and introducing himself, it was really nice to see and know that it's a true family business to support in ourcommunity. Price range was very reasonable, I expected our check to be much higher considering the atmosphere & how big theportions were. even the desserts! Will be back! Read more

Overall this is a nice place with good food and prime seating to view all of the downtown Rochester happenings. Actually a 3.5... stars. The house chianti was very nice. This meal was $55 not including the tip. Read more
