This has been one of our favorite places to dine in for quite some time. The food is always consistent. However today, Andrew... and his service was above and beyond all previous experiences that we?ve had. We made a mistake on how my wife and I ordered oursteak and he was extremely patient and accommodating. He made us feel comfortable and welcome. I'm writing this to show everyone that it pays to allow a chef free reign. I came to not have anything on the menu but instead... allow the chef to make anything he wanted for me and he didn't disappoint either. I was served thinly sliced ribeye oversautéed peppers and onions with a side of boiled potatoes and sautéed asparagus with garlic butter. The make was expertlyseasoned and slight spiced for a texmex feel. And the potatoes and asparagus were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Just goes toshow what creativity gets you. The staff was completely open to my request and even made sure I didn't have any food allergiesbefore preparing the meal. (I don't have any) My waited was awesome and polite and checked in regularly. We were in Rochester, MN for medical appointments at Mayo Clinic for 7 weeks. Outback Steakhouse became our go to lunch place... after our first visit. The lunch menu is priced appropriately. The meals were all prepared perfectly. Heidi, our server was topnotch!!! She has a caring personality and always a smile. She always made you feel welcome and was a joy to chat with. We werehere at the height of covid and the staff took really good precautions wearing masks and using sanitizer. Now we make sure westop whenever we are in town. Read more
Outback has always been a favorite of ours, even since I was a child. After a long shopping day, we stopped in for a late... lunch. It was not busy at all and we were sat immediately upon walking in. We hung out at our table and noticed that a couplegroups of 3-4 were seated around the restaurant. They all had different, but very active servers and were waited on and haddrinks and bread within minutes of being seated. Our server had yet to be seen. As I was attempting to ask about our serverswhereabouts, they came to the table around minute 10 of waiting. Our server took our drink & food orders and came back withbread. The server then disappeared until well after our food had been brought out by the other servers we had watched being veryproactive within their sections. The food was really good and we did enjoy our time. We were just rather jealous of all theother sections who had great servers who were out and about, continually checking on their tables where as ours appeared to stayback in the kitchen area 90% of the time.
