We love going to Lone Oak! We camp nearby so we go often during the open season. The staff are always friendly and quick, even... in long lines we don't have to wait long. Ice cream is homemade and I I personally love trying the new weekly flavors. You get alot of ice cream for the money so go with an empty stomach! Read more

Stopped here for lunch and ice cream after a shopping trip. The lobster roll and a generous amount of lobster, one of the best... that I have had! The crinkle fries had a nice crunch, without being overly greasy. For dessert there were dairy free options! Ihad the small mint oreo in a dish. The small is 9oz, I couldn't finish it all in one go, so with my napkin and spoon I made amakeshift lid, which helped keep it together until I found a freezer for the rest. Decent selection of flavors. I had rum raisin, my son had chocolate and my friend, she had a sundae with black raspberry. All... were good. Only issue, the ???? ice-cream began to melt quickly as soon ???? as it was served. I had to keep wiping down ????the table with napkins and hand ???? wipes. The tables had plastic coverings so it made cleaning easy. My small serving lookedlike a large! Plenty of tables and parking ?????. Service was good. I recommend a visit. Read more
We have only just learned about this place and so glad we did! It's really a superb place to go whether you're a local looking... for a treat or a quick (all depending on the wait time though) meal, or if you're visiting/passing through. They're so efficientrunning a tight ship and the staff is so super friendly-they get people through quickly but they are popular and can get verybusy. The place is so, so clean, and I just love that-the tables are clean and cleaned regularly, which is not common everywhereor to be taken for granted. They have multiple windows for their ice cream, because-it's fresh on-site homemade ice cream andso, so awesome. The food, ob's is what you're looking for, is perfect-we're big foodies, and I mean that. They have a small menuand they do it well. We agree that these fries are the best we've had in years, anywhere, and that goes for both the regular andsweet potato. We personally love the haddock sandwich because it's fresh, perfectly fried and perfect, flaky fish. The burger-Imean honestly it's over of the best burgers we've had ever, and by far better than any fast food burger you'll get. Lastly butnot least, they have a wonderful and large outdoor seating area (it's all outdoor seating here) and it's so pleasant and shadedby trees and just wonderful-you won't be disappointed, go here. Very good home-made ice-cream! I got the coffee with toffee and loved loved loved! If they weren't so far from me I'll probably... be there every day. Which may be a good thing for me. Since I have to watch my figure. Lol! My 7yr old son got the vanilla andtore it up. The serving is enormous and worth the money. I got a medium and it was like a super large.
