Was there with a friend who loves this place. It is very clean. It was quite hard to spot a cheerful employee. The forks they... provide are very very cheap looking which for me good utensils, good strong large napkins, bring a table up a notch or two. Thesmall salsa bowl is not enough for the amount of chips! If we wanted drink refills the server would make us remove our straws sowe can use again! Really?!? I know post covid hit restaurant businesses hard but please get better utensils/napkins & smilefolks, smile! As far as food, it's OK for those who never had true authentic Mexican cusine. Read more
Good food, reasonably priced and the interior decor is nice and colorful.
A bit too pricey, especially the drinks. A $15 margarita is more like stadium prices. The food is ok but not very authentic. But... I'm originally from Southern California so maybe my standards are higher when it comes to Mexican cuisine. Read more
It was the first time for us in this restaurant. the place was clean, nice decoration, however the waiter was not smiling at... all, maybe she was not happy from a previous customer or from a coworker, we where not well welcomed by her. the food didn'ttaste good, it did not sit well. they need to improve their food and customer service. Food came out quickly and was delicious. My favorite was the chicken burrito. Fair prices as well! Has a festive Mexican-style... theme inside. They also have deals for taco Tuesday. Free chips and salsa and the salsa was amazing too. Read more
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before! My favorite restaurant! It's very nicely decorated and always clean. The... servers are friendly and helpful! They are all great but Raina is my fave! She always knows my order and remembers details likeI prefer no mushrooms. The margaritas are tasty and they don't skimp on the alcohol. The food has never disappointed!!! Thesteak fajita portions are so generous! The seasoning is always just right. My son loves their burritos and Mexican sodas. Sorry not Sorry, actually the only thing that was really sorry was the service. Absolutely dreadful. I understand times are... tough, but shouldn't that motivate staff to work harder? IDK maybe I'm wrong. If you couldn't tell by know the service at MonteAlban did not live up to the décor. Which was great by the way. The only negative about the dining area was the fact that theyhad a beautiful patio with only two umbrellas available at two tables leaving the rest of the space unusable in the hot summersun. The food was mediocre at best. the tortilla chips were warm and weren't stale, we did run out of salsa and there was norefill on that apparently so we were left with a half a basket of chips and nothing to eat them with. The drinks also went drybefore we got our food. My girlfriend and I both order the burrito. They came in a timely fashion and were tasty I can't saythey weren't. But that was just it...they weren't anything spectacular either. I have had much better in Auburn and Syracuse.All in all would not recommend as Monte Alban fell short of my expectations both on food and service. Read more
Very good authentic Mexican food with good prices. We had the fajitas and the Monte Alban burrito both had great tastes and was... a very good portion. Owner came up after we ate and made sure that everything was good for us. One of the best Mexican places inthe area. Read more
