I had an empanada here. I would love to try their other food. The staff was friendly. The empanada was expensive though, but we... got it during the food truck expo at public market. The prices were most likely inflated because of that. I definitely wouldlike to visit actual restaurant and give it a try. I had the pizza empanada, while those with me had Buffalo chicken one. We allliked it! We just came from the Juan and Maria one, [see my review on that one] so we were hesitant to try again...but glad wedid. Read more

Went to their truck at RIT. They were an hour late. I was told this is common for them by several students. I ordered five... dinners for a family party. They got every order wrong - I ordered an assortment and all the empanadas were one kind. Theirmac and cheese is delicious. The empanadas were just okay. Read more

I was lured by the empanadas, but ended up with a full dinner of arroz con pollo! Small dinners feature the typical choice of... white or yellow rice, beans, and choice of protein. Mediums include a side. Today it was a cold "chicken pasta salad" - aninteresting and flavorful take on the item that I would love to try hot. Large dinners include the above plus guineos or "sweet"plantains. I didn't get a chance to try them, but they're certainly on the agenda for my next visit. **Oh, yeah. I'm totallygoing back.** I had yellow rice and beans, pepper chicken and the pasta salad. The rice was flavorful, yet seasoned milder thanI'm used to which should play well to the nearby lunch crowd who may be unfamiliar with the cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed thepepper chicken - breast meat cut in large chunks simmered in an, again, mild seasonings. FWIW It appears this is a new venture(5 days!) for the owner featuring his brother as the cook so perhaps the seasonings will be more pronounced once he getssettled. I look forward to seeing their evolution first-hand and truly hope they succeed. Read more
