This was the worst! They could not manage overbooking for Thanksgiving, and we waited 45 minuyes with a reservation to be... seated. The service was very goofy - my son-in-law ordered chicken and got veal - no coffee which he ordered - checks were allscrewed up and took forever to straighten out. It was so beyond the entire staff's ability to marginally handle. My duckinitially was brought out cold. They tacked on gratuity and then said "oh this is just a suggestion" ... as well as fee to usecredit card - come on! They ran out of turkey and other items on Thanksgiving Day???? Management was completely unable tohandle all of this - nobody seemed very able. There were 11 of us and they took orders for half of us and then 1/2 hour latergot the other half of our orders - crazy! I liked the atmosphere - the food was alright. It was a terrible experience onThanksgiving with my extended family here out of town. My four-year-old grandson was crying, waiting so long to be seated. Itreally was a disaster. I just heard about Nick?s recently and I?m shocked I hadn?t heard if it. We were celebrating thanksgiving with friends and the... food was delicious. I was kind of limited with my choices because of a dietary issue but the amazing Donna was very helpful. Ihad the prime rib that was so tender and perfectly seasoned. I had a small dish of rigatoni and really liked the red sauce andI?m kind of picky. Everyone else had the turkey and it was gobbled up. See what I did there ?! Read more
Although everyone's food was great with generous portions I chose the Shrimp Scampi. First off I don't like stuff in my food.... Meat without coatings etc. Straight up no frills food. The Scampi I've always had before did not have a myriad of additionalingredients I don't like. Butter, garlic, Shrimp is scampi. Tomatoes, mushrooms, and whatever was green in it isn't Scampi in myopinion and I'm married to a Sicilian. However as I said at the beginning I had the only complaint. The service considering itwas Thanksgiving was excellent. I don't recommend the Scampi, but highly recommend the establishment. Read more
We couldn't be more happy with this establishment. We've been frequent customers for a long time and I'm positive that won't... ever change. Nick has bringing classic, authentic Italian dishes to our area for over 30 years. The best part is they're alwaysdelicious. Read more
An Irondequoit treasure. Simple Italian food at it's finest. Good service. Excellent Prime Rib and Haddock French. The Owner and... his Family make you feel happy to be there. The atmosphere and decorations brings you a step back in time when things were justplain simple and good. Read more
Nick's Sea Breeze Inn is a privately owned pillar of the Sea Breeze community. A traditional Italian family restaurant serving... scratch made dishes from pasta and chicken to seafood and steak. My wife had the Haddock French and I had the Ziti with ItalianSausage. Salad and seafood bisque starters. All wonderful. Our server, Michael, was knowledgeable and attentive. Try it. I gave 3 stars because dinner took a bit too long to get served. We walked in around 7, they close at 8 but they should expect... people at that time, not sure the hold up... the place was not busy. Appetizers served in a timely manner... drinks to. Thefood was ok nothing great except the sauce... the sauce was the best I've had! (not counting my wife's or my mom's sauce ofcourse, but a close second) friendly staff... waitress brought over coloring books for the grandkids, real nice. Chicken Frenchwas okay, Chicken Florentino was pretty good, very buttery... sides okay. Linguini and clams was really good... other dishesokay. Read more
I go back to Rochester a couple times a year to visit family. Every year we go back to Nick's. Why? Because from age 5-75,... everyone loves the food, Nick's hospitality and service and room to spread out. I've got 15+ years of pictures to prove it! Go!You'll enjoy too. Read more
