This place is amazing. Drinks were on freaking point and the food is top-notch. Never disappoints. If you're thinking about... going here for any type of Mexican/latin cuisine, do it. You won't regret it. Guaranteed. Now if you have more time, I'll getinto more detail stating why I enjoy ox and Stone as much as I do. First off, the drinks. The bartenders are extremelyknowledgeable about anything agave. When they have an option on their menu that allows the bartender to make you a drink on thespot based on your preferences, that's how you know a place is confident in their employees' talent. Tonight was not the firstnight I've been to ox and Stone, but it was definitely the most fun. My girlfriend and I came in for her birthday drinks and wesat at the bar. Mark took care of us most of the night and he was absolutely beyond fantastic. He engaged in conversation, jokedaround with us, shared stories, and entertained all of our needy demands for contrasting flights of interesting mezcal. He wasfantastic. Someone you are happy to have as a bartender, and would be happier to have as a friend. Seriously. The dude hascharisma. Also, so I don't forget, a Red haired woman named Emily took care of us at first when we came in and both the drinksshe made were superb! I got a caipirinha my girlfriend got a naked and famous. She was extremely friendly and great! There wasalso a new bar back working that made me a mezcal old fashioned and he too was awesome. This place definitely knows how to picktheir talent. Second, the food blows me away. Everything we eat here is consistently fantastic. Portions are great, and flavoris off the charts. One of my biggest pet peeves is when I go to a restaurant and I feel like I don't get my money's worth. Imean in the sense of quality or quantity. This place definitely delivers on both. This is one of our Rochesters hidden gem restaurants. Eclectic food, intimate high class setting and a lot of fun. Servers are... great, service is even better. There's parking on site, and it's close to other East End/Park Avenue nightspots. A must visit ifyou are downtown. Read more
Just went for drinks and something to munch on rather than a meal, the drinks were great, if not a little overfull of ice. The... appetizer and the chips were also pretty good! The strawberry sorbet however was FANTASTIC. Super creamy and so flavorful. WishI could buy it in wegmans. Service was great, our server was very friendly and was always making sure we were having a goodexperience. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is I didn't try enough of the menu to properly comment on the food. Read more
