I have been to Remington’s a handful of times over the years and had always recalled the food being great and receiving good... service. So I was extremely disappointed to find our visit last night to be easily the worst restaurant experience of my life.The errors are too many to list, but the most disturbing part was the complete lack of concern the owner showed when we asked tospeak with him. Apparently the ownership of the place changed in recent months and the place is not what it used to be. Sad tosee what it has become. The result is a party of 12, none of whom will ever return again. Our orders were wrong and untimely. It took over an hour just to get our check and it took 3 attempts before it was correct. ... (There were items on our check that we never ordered.) We were not even offered water while waiting. Staff requires moretraining. Place was dead on a Friday night, except for our party. Now I understand why. When we asked to speak to the managerto explain the issue, manager told us he was "kind of busy". He had no interest in listening or rectifying the situation. There are WAY too many better restaurants in Rochester to waste your time and money here. Read more
Everyone always go to social media with a problem rather than staff at the restaurant who are more than capable of solving a... problem. This is what I hate about technology. Let's just hide behind our phones and post a faceless bad review with out everknowing the truth behind a busy and scattered night. Eaten at the bar a few times in the past couple of months and the food is consistently delicious. Great neighborhood spot, cozy... bar and we love trying different apps on the menu. Tenderloin bruschetta is perfect. Big fan of the artichoke french app and thesweet and savory wing sauce too! Read more
Despite some of the bad reviews we decided to try it anyway. We are glad we did!! The service was excellent and so was the... food!! Especially the seafood bisque!! I'm not sure why there are so many unfavorable reviews. I do know that some people arejust plain dissatisfied with life no matter what, and find the need to complain about everything. I'll tell you right now, ifyou're always negative and treat people negatively, then that's what you're going to get in return. How bout trying to bepositive and grateful in all aspects of life and be thankful that you're fortunate enough to be eating. Maybe then you'll have agood experience. Thank you for our great evening!
