Based on food, pricing, atmosphere, and service, I rate Romig?s a solid 4. But when you factor in the attitude and treatment of... customers by one of the owners, my rating of this local bar and grill drops to <1. After reading some of the other reviews, itis apparent that I?m not the only person who feels this way. My encounter was on a Thursday night when I ordered 2cheeseburgers ?to go?. On Thursday?s, burgers are $5 or $6 depending on toppings. A great price for a great burger. Thispricing special is advertised on all in-house menus and has been available for ?probably? at least a year. When I paid thebill, it was over $17. The waitress told me that the owners decided not to honor the special price at dinner hours. I was nottold of the price change before ordering, there was no posted signage of this change, and menus still reflected the special. Ispoke to one of the owners and he basically told me that he can do whatever. Never addressed why he can charge higher thanadvertised prices. He just kept showing me the order slips hanging in the cooking area. I asked him to explain what the orderslips had to do with pricing. To my disbelief, he told me that all those people ordered dinners and that he can?t be botheredwith $5 hamburgers. As he walked away, he told one of the waitresses to refund the price difference to me, which she did. Ofcourse, I appreciated the refund but there is no reason for any business owner to be rude and obstinate to a customer. Read more
This place has no business being as good as it is. I cannot get over the fact that the absolute BEST wings I've had in Rochester... are so insanely cheap. My reuben was one of the best ive had in a long time, and my bfs steak sub was really good too. I wasexpecting to have a decent meal from the reviews, but I was beyond blown away. Also really love how cheap their drinks are andhow good their specials are. I'll definitely be coming here more. Their beer selection is also really good, and the woman whotook care of us was very friendly and seemed to get along really well with regulars. Stopped in on a Friday night, there were just a few tables left, but we also found 2 seats at the bar and chose them. The... bartender came to us immediately, was very friendly, brought our drinks quickly and gave us time to look at the menu andspecials. I noticed that there is a lot of staff, always busy taking care of the customers, or washing glasses, cleaning up thebar, all experienced and very efficient, something that is unusual these days. We ordered our food, it didn't come outimmediately, but there were many people and the timing was on point with the amount of customers. I ordered the haddock french,which came with pasta and a salad as a Friday special, it was huge and very good. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese and fries,both were very good. We really wanted to try the Bailey's cheesecake for dessert, but it was so popular, they ran out, so wehad the peanut butter pie, which was yummy. The prices here are very reasonable with specials and deals everyday of the week,check out their website. Their happy hour runs daily from 1 to 7 pm. Neighborhood tavern! Great food, wings are Pterodactyl size, meat hot sauce is delicious with a killer bite! Absolutely the... best bang for your buck in Rochester. Drink specials, wing specials, menu offers outstanding variety. Great for watching yoursport etc. Been around forever and always busy= my business. 10! Read more
