Nice atmosphere, nice service, pretty good food. Tried the empanadas and they were delicious. Also tried the Penne. I found... it to be an expensive dish and a bit disappointing. Generous portion, with plenty of shrimp and chorizo, but it had too muchParmesan in my opinion which overpowered the rest of the flavours. Service was quick and attentive. Such a lovely low-lit vibe. I would love to go here on a date but it?s very nice to sit by the bar with a close friend. The food... was delicious, I can?t say I have any complaints. My drink was strong just how I like it and my bartender was very personable.This is my third or fourth time coming here and I will definitely recommend this place if you want to have a nice, chill vibewith food & cocktails that has an upscale feel. Great food, cocktails, and ambience. Tapas restaurants are strangely sparse in Rochester?s food scene, and while not... Spanish-focused, Tapas 177 is filling that hole in my heart nicely. We tried the calamari salad, mushroom and cream cheesewontons, PEI mussels, and the rack of lamb. All were great, but the crispy, tender calamari and incredibly flavorful musselsstand out in particular. Several seating options (tables on sidewalk, upstairs bar, downstairs lounge, and an inner courtyard)and it?s a really lively, fun place in the evenings. Read more
What a beautiful restaurant ! Hard to tell from outside the great experience you might have inside. Their downstairs and... backyard ambiance is lovely. The lamb chops and scallops were great. Their service was great as well. Read more
