This was truly an awful experience, but I'm hoping it had to due with staffing. We waited at the front door for about five... minutes and no one came to greet us. We found our own table and was advised by the sushi chef that it would just be a minute toget the table cleaned. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks, a half hour to order our food, about an additional hour toget our food. Our appetizer came out after our meal, our sushi rolls sat uncovered at the sushi bar in the dining area for about20 minutes. I believe the issue here was there was only one chef/sushi cook and one waitress who was cleaning, clearing, servingetc. This shouldn't be too much trouble with the fact there were only a small handful of tables. Additionally, the cost seemedhigher than what we ordered, but we wanted to get out of there The food was pretty good, but I will never go back ever again. Read more

Food was mostly good and service was fine. The chef was the one also serving us as we got there just after it opened (weds... 11:45am). We were the only people in there for about an hour of it and we could see him prepping the food also. He wasattentive. We got the sushi and sashimi for 2. It was more than enough for both of us. My minor complaint was the white fishsashimi was a touch frozen. However overall, it was a good experience. Read more

This place definitely deserves 5 stars for the food quality and freshness of fish. It's getting 3 for just the sheer volume of... people that come in and overwhelm the sushi chef. We were here on Monday. To get 6 rolls, some edamame, and some wasabidumplings, took 3 and a half hours. The sushi chef was simply overworked and overwhelmed. He stated he was there since 8:30am hestated and stayed all the way to 10pm. It's a wife and husband combo, but really it should be a wife husband, and 2 coworkers. The sushi chef is talented, his flavor profiles he creates are great. Personally just the simple yellowtail roll was one of myfavorites. So insanely fresh for a hole in the wall type of joint. If the sushi chef just trained an apprentice and thewaitress gets another, the place would be great. It's absolutely ready for the next step of the restaurant business and isabout to evolve past a family restaurant. Get it while you can. Read more

I DO NOT recommend their all you can eat or this restaurant in general. On a Saturday night with only one chef and waitress, the... service was incredibly slow. We paid $50+ for two people to get a small cup of miso, small plate of edamame to share, and thechef's choice sushi, which had several pieces of foul smelling and tasting sushi. We waited more than an hour to receive ourfirst plate and could not finish it because of the bad taste and smell. We left immediately after. The food is NOT worth thewait. The waitress was quick to fill our water glasses but not quick to greet us, take our order, or check in to see if weneeded anything. I hope others don't have a similar horrible experience and take their money to other Japanese restaurants withfresh ingredients and good service. Read more

The sushi chef is a wonderful man and very dedicated to his craft. He takes the time to carefully prepare every roll so that it... is flawless. He's also fun to talk to. The service is relaxed and even paced. We did the endless sushi menu option and could nothave been more satisfied. As a plus, the restaurant is family owned and operated. Everything we had was high quality. Read more

A small, family run restaurant. Fu and his lovely wife Lin were a joy to meet. I could hear people at every table saying ?Wow?... as they were eating. Fu can be seen preparing the sushi from a work area at the back area of the dining room. People called outto him from their tables to compliment him. Fu very humbly shared that he has been a sushi chef since 1986. My daughter and herhusband are long-time sushi fans. I?m still on the ?nothing raw please? and ?California Roll? level. The all-you-can-eat sushiis $21. It includes your choice of an appetizer, a generous bowl of miso soup (which was amazing), endless (made to order)sushi, and a choice of dessert. I tasted my daughters homemade green tea ice cream l. So creamy! I had the tempura fried cheesecake, and possibly the best cheesecake experience I?ve ever had. This place is worth the wait. Go when you aren?t in a rush. They are a sweet and humble couple who take every order seriously. Very impressed! Read more

I?ve eaten at Taste of Japan many times, and the food, especially the all-you-can-eat meal, never disappointed me. The food... quality is comparable to what you would expect from a good Japanese restaurant. With the $19.9 all-you-can-eat option, you willget complimentary hot tea, miso soup, and salad with an Asian salad dressing that?s not too sweet. In addition, you can orderanything on the menu under the Appetizer and dessert sections. On a separate sheet of paper, from which there are various freshsushi selections you can select. I?m not giving it a five star, because there are areas that the restaurant can improve on. Asothers have complained, the restaurant is probably short on staff, so the wait time is unexpectedly long. If you are in a rush,I wouldn?t suggest you go there. Expect to make at least 75 min for a satisfying all-you-can-eat sushi experience. Read more
