Super friendly! The food was a new experience for me, and I enjoyed it overall. Crazy affordable for all-you-can eat! Better... than eating at a fast food place on all counts! Read more

I dropped by on a Friday for the lunch buffet. There was a good variety of vegetarian and meat dishes to select from. My... server loaded up my plate with a variety of beef, lamb and vegetable choices and provided an extra plate of injera ( think ofspongy, slightly tangy pita bread) to scoop and soak with. Because I was in a rush, I only did one plate from the buffet, butthat was more than filling. Everything was delicious! I've been a fan of this place for years now, and being able to stop infor lunch is a great break from working at home. Things to note if you are new to Ethiopian food - you will rarely find a goodEthiopian restaurant with speedy service. I'm sure there are exceptions, but it helps to have slightly different expectationsfrom the start. The service is still friendly and accommodating. Stopping by for the lunch buffet is a very good way to tryout this kind of food. My bill with a drink was $15 which I consider quite reasonable. Read more

This food was incredible. When I walked into the restaurant for pick up, I was overwhelmed with the rich smell of spices and... acidic injera. I even told the woman who was working that my mouth was watering already! I got the vegetarian (vegan) plate, which is perfect to try everything. Definitely can?t wait to get back for another satisfying and healthful Ethiopian meal. Read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Rochester. I grew up here and we have a great food scene, so that is saying a lot. It's also... the best Ethiopian food I have ever had. Zemeta makes the injera fresh every day and you can tell the difference. I don't evenlike injera, but I like Zemeta's. She also cares about the community and takes care of many people. It's a safe and warm placewhen I have needed a hot meal and a hug. My favorite is the shiro wot. This is an easy place to accommodate vegan and glutenfree needs as well. Almost everything is dairy free. Read more

I absolutely loved this this place!!! I always order the Ye Beg Wet and love the injera but I ask them to wrap it when I order... from grubhub and it's so much better to me. I dined in one time and the atmosphere was great the service was excellent as well.I also tried the Ethiopian coffee and fell in love! The woman making the coffee came out and had it smoking for me while she wasmaking it and it was a great surprise. I will definitely be back and smoke some hookah at the lounge area. Read more

Superb & authentic Ethiopian dishes. This is a tiny (seats maybe 40), modest & unassuming place. Not many people seem to know... it's open for lunch, as only 1 other table was occupied at peak lunch time on a weekday. The seasoning of the meats was aromatic& spiciness was just right--aggressive but allowing all the subtle flavors to come through. I recommend a combo plate to try arange of dishes. Prices are absurdly low, too. Read more
