This location used to make amazing food and cook steaks perfectly. The last few times I've visited the cuts seem to be lower... quality and grade. They also have a tendency to cut their steaks thinner and slightly overcook them. I ordered a medium rare,the middle of the inside was medium rare but 80% of the steak was well done and tough. It sucks to see good restaurants fall offlike this. Also, before the owner replies to tell me "bring it to the restaurants attention next time before leaving" like hesays to every negative review, I did bring it to the attention of my server. I was told there are often changes in cooks andstaff so the consistency will vary on a day to day basis. Nothing was done otherwise, just a simple excuse for poor quality. Thebuttered corn tasted like someone just dumped a pile of black pepper in without measuring. Also a ribeye and shrimp combo onlycomes with 5 small overcooked shrimp for a 30$ plate. It was my husband’s birthday on a Friday evening and packed with people but sitting at the bar is first come, first served, so... we sat at the bar. I ordered the 8oz filet cooked medium even though I usually order it medium rare, because the lovely younglady at the bar recommended medium. She wasn’t wrong - that was the absolute best tasting, most perfectly cooked steak I haveever tasted in my life! The corn was delicious, just a tiny bit too much pepper but overall really really good! The basket ofdinner rolls was warm and smelled amazing and they did not disappoint!! My husband enjoyed his bone in porterhouse immensely. Wedidn’t have room for dessert or appetizers, maybe next time. The service was excellent - even though it was obviously a busytime for the restaurant, we never waited more than a couple of minutes before our drinks were refreshed. Dinner for 4. 3 out of 4 were excellent on the 6 oz Top Sirloin. Mine was tough for about 1/3 of the steak but the rest was... great. Salads and sides were great. Read more
Worst waitress ever. First time in my life I didn't tip at all. I have always tried to be understanding an I even tip bad... waitresses or waiters 10% I really hope to have a better experience next time. The food was wonderful love the atmosphere. Went in for an early dinner and had no problem being seated. My husband and son enjoyed the food. Ribs were good, barbeque... Chicken Breast was moist, huge Sweet Potato & steak fries good. Delicious, fresh rolls are brought to the table as your seated.Nice atmosphere and love the country music too. Very quick friendly service. Looks very clean and well kept which scores highwith me. My husband and I walked to the door and we see a sign that says please walk in to the front desk and get seated. So we walked up... and three young girls are just leaning on the desk. No hello nothing but a quick glance an a eye roll. It’s 8:15 and googledstated it closed at 10 so it’s not like we are coming in at the last minute. The young blond girl after a minute or so turnsaround and says you can just stand by that black pole. Literally had one job to greet someone properly. Management should keep alookout because they are losing business at the door.. This just didn’t happen to us. She gave the same treatment to the nextcouple behind us. So we walked out! Wow! The Rock Hill Texas Roadhouse was wonderful. We had to wait an hour, but definitely worth the wait. They bring the rolls... with you so you don't have to wait. A first, and a great idea! Food was exactly how I thought it would be..GREAT! Can't wait tocome here again..A+ you guys :) Read more
